Copthorne Hotel Newcastle
"Really well located large hotel- modern-ish, probably could do with some upgrading, but very comfortable, easy walking distance to everything else on the Quayside over looking the river and close- climbing a very steep hill - to the city centre. Big restaurant with lots on the menu, and a bar that overlooks the river- indeed and out. Remarkably good value- maybe we hit it at a good time, but we paid less than half of what the normal going rate was, so that was also a bonus. We also booked "free" inclusive parking in our room booking, so that saved us 2 x £15 a night in the attached Carpark, which has a lift down to the front door of hotel."
