I would like to say this is almost good 3.75 stars.
The room although on appearance good there were a number of issues albeit minor that over the duration of the stay was a let down considering the upgrade we had paid for.
The carpet was frayed, cups were dirty a their was only a water glass each but we had a kitchen in suite therefore if we had wanted a drink we didn’t have a glass. When we asked for this the bar staff were quite put out.
The glass doors that slide to room and bathroom are quite noisy so can disturb sleep.
The heated towel radiator doesn’t work.
The shower leaked over the floor.
Carpet was frayed.
In addition as a couple staying 2 nights the complimentary tea and biscuits was limited with 1 pack of 2 biscuits between us!
We had upgraded to this executive suite
And paid as a treat for our anniversary.
It seemed a shame that all these minor things had let the experience of an upgrade down.
On check out we advised reception and whilst this isn’t their fault I was told it would be passed on.
I’d have expected out of courtesy perhaps some contact or acknowledgement to the upgrade fee but nothing was done to mitigate this.
I am disappointed by this.
