The hotel is in a great position for the train station and walking distance into the main food and shopping part of Town. The air conditioning was a god send given how hot it was this weekend. Will definitely return.

The reception was friendly and efficient, with a nice chat with the receptionist who recommended the incredible breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. What did disappoint though was the breakfast. Their brochure says "There is nothing like that aroma of fresh coffee brewing and freshly basked pastries...". Well, there was nothing like that, so I suppose it is correct. The coffee was from the same sort of machine as you find in Wetherspoons and my Latte was so weak I wondered if there was any coffee in it at all. Pastries? Croissants or Pain au Chocolate, but neither were "oven fresh". No other pastries, muffins, pancakes etc as one would usually find in a hotel of this class. Bread? sliced white or brown for toast, but no crusty bread or rolls. The cooked breakfast was fine, no complaint, but the build up from the comments in reception and on the website meant the experience was disappointing.

The hotel was stylish and trendy and had good amenities. However, the bathroom toilet was faulty and the flush would remain on and continuous. Also, the fitness suite was too small and not as shown on the hotel website's images.

Property was great in nice central location check in was automated and I had paid for an upgraded room and drinks package neither of these were applied to my reservation. The lady who dealt with the problem was fantastic and got drinks sent to room (better late than never) I decieded not to pursue the upgrade as room was ok. The hotel refunded my money. Big shout out to staff member that helped me out she is a fantastic asset to the hotel.

Nice hotel although there were signs of black mould in the shower and the corners of the carpets could have done with a hoover. Staff were pleasant and breakfast was quite good, usual self service breakfast items were available.

Hotel was in perfect location for everything, shopping, restaurants and St James Park for Sam Fender concert. Even though it was right in the centre it was really quiet at night. Check in was super easy and all staff were friendly and helpfully. Will definitely be back again.
