The bellboys and valet drivers were wonderful. The front desk staff were not very helpful. Didn’t want to ge bothered. I received no info other than my room number when I checked in. I had to call to have my room cleaned as well. All in all the hotel is good and we would stay again. The pool staff needs a little help as well.

You can't beat the location of this property, right across from the beach and the boardwalk which gives accessibility to so many restaurants and bars, things to do in Asbury park. I've been coming here for years and this time things seem to have definitely improved. Had an issue with the sink in the room and were moved quickly to an upgraded room. Staff were all very helpful, friendly and accommodating.

We had a good stay at Berkeley Hotel. The property is clean and the amenities are great. We didn’t get to use the gym or the pool, but the proximity to the beach is fantastic. Some areas for improvement: 1) Better training for staff - On two separate occasions, we were dealing with two staff members who were very friendly but didn’t really know what they were doing (front desk and pool). 2) Towels for the beach. Our group consisted of women from LA and Vegas, and we all took the NJT train from NY Penn. None of us had beach towels, and the hotel’s policy of not bringing hotel towels to the beach posed a huge inconvenience for us. 3) Bell service and doormen - when we arrived (via Uber from the NJT station), no one greeted us, or offered assistance with our luggage, despite there being 3 gentlemen sitting around by the front doors. Not a great first impression.

Great Blowing Air, a little strong.

We were in a smaller room this time around and the only complaint i had was the air conditioning was blowing straight on to the bed. We had it lowered but it was so strong that we had to cover our heads to sleep my husband is bald so it was a little funny.

Best shore stay in quite some time😃

From start to finish Juan welcomed us in Valet service with a smile! Dan checked us in quickly & happily . Hamza & Dimitar kept our tummies & glasses full with delicious food & cold drinks. We enjoyed the pool & our beds were very comfortable. We will be back & recommend the Berkeley for sure!

Not worth the price

The hotel is beautiful, I’ve stayed in many hotels in my day and this one was nice. I had several issues while there. One- I called 5x to have a lamps fixed in my room and still wasn’t fixed. I had to unplug my lights in order to go to bed. The lack of knowledge from staff on what’s in the area was frustrating. The reasoning was nobody was a local, majority were foreigners and barely spoke English. The cost of valet is a crime. $90/day. Asked for a late check out and it was $100/hr. I will never stay there again bc of these few things. At check out I was asked how my stay was, I continued to inform the manager about everything and all she did was give me $50 resort fee back. The other major issue I had is a manager or subcontractor was present on property during our stay and he continued to take pictures of my teenagers at the pool in their swimsuits with his personal phone. So disgusting! Not worth the $1500 I paid to stay there.

Well, i have stayed in a lot of hotels. This is the first time ( with rooms available) after flying a long distance that they charged me a 150.00 early check in fee. Just plain thievery. But to start it all off there is no where to park, had to pay 90.00 for valet parking. Another attempt to take money. Expensive room!!!!

We always enjoy our stay at the Berkeley. The building has its ‘quirks” but the great location and amazing staff more then make up for them
