"All of the staff was very friendly, room was clean. It was interesting being a historic building. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but everything else was great. I had a very early morning doctor's appointment, so I did not get to try the breakfast."

"The hotel is very cute and clean with a great restaurant in the lobby. The area is a little older and not the totally safest feel if you have kids but there is a couple great restaurants close and walkable. Downtown is very cute. You just need to be careful which path you take when walking around. "

"The staff was very friendly, and most helpful. The breakfast choices were tasty. Surprised that there is no pool, or did I just miss it somewhere? Sleep was at a premium due to the fact that they don't have curtains in the room that close, at all. Just a thin inner curtain that doesn't cut out any light. That was really kind of odd. Is this a new trend in hospitality? I can' sleep unless it is dark, so there was that."

"Simply blown away at how nice our room is. The room is very cozy, and the renovations in the room is very, very nice. And the kitchenette with full size fridge and microwave is a huge plus. Definitely coming back when I visit Birmingham."
