Booked a Deluxe King, check in and all they had was handy cap rooms or Two Queens When I booked it said 4 available, Also says newly renovated room. Hotel was renovated 3 years ago.

The first night we were awaked by some *extremely* noisy neighbors, to the degree that I was actively searching for a different place to stay at 7:30 in the morning. I reported it to the desk, who took it seriously and confirmed the issue. They moved our room to the 2nd floor, where it was quiet the rest of the stay. Kudos to Kenya, who really took care of us.

Room was nice but there were no liners in the trash. It looked like they had done a quick clean of the room because the shower had water splashed all inside and I found a toy car under the carpet in one of the rooms. Breakfast was ok in the morning. Not much to complain about for complimentary food. Very quiet and close to our venue. Decent place for a one night stay.

Likes: (1) Front desk staff was friendly, courtesy, polite, and helpful. (2) The room was nice, kind of (read on). It appeared new, newly renovated perhaps. (3) Competitive pricing. (4) Easily accommodated my request for a room change. Dislikes: (1) Smells. As soon as I walked in the front door there was an unidentifiable smell. Not terrible, but there was something in the air. Our assigned room had a light smell of smoke in this smoke free hotel. Our replacement room did not smell of smoke but it too had a slight order different from that in the front entrance and different from that in the hallways, (2) had a refrigerator that didn't work, (3) the floor that was "clean" (clean of debris) but needed to be wet mopped, (4) dead/smooshed bugs on the ceiling, (5) and dust bunnies at the ceiling/wall. (6) the tub/shower drains very slow. I had to prop up the drain stopper with the complimentary hand lotion and even then I was still standing in the water, toe deep, before I was finished. (7) Very limited selection of tv channels.

Bad guests and long buffet lines

Twice the breakfast buffet was too crowded with long lines, especially today, July 5. The problem was the pancake machine that held everything else up. Possibly put that on a separate counter. On July 1, there was a bus load of very ignorant people who kept butting in line and making a mess wherever they went. The 2, 3 and 4th of July the guests were very courteous and respectful and the lines were small. Only negative I have on this stay otherwise the hotel and staff were excellent.

Hotel was nice, clean and updated. Breakfast was so-so- it wasnt really "bad", just didnt have any meat and not big variety. BUT it was good! Staff was wonderful, housekeeping polite and helpful.
