Stoney Creek Hotel Des Moines - Johnston
"Was sad when we got to check in to find out their pool was closed for renovations. It was no fault of Stoney Creek as they said they do not receive phone numbers from Expedia to notify guest. When we got to our room it had a stale moldy smell. The air conditioner worked, but was covered in either mold or dirt. Mold was growing across the top of the wall in the bathroom as well. The beds were clean and comfortable and it was quiet in the night. The breakfast was fine, only serving eggs, biscuits and gravy and potatoes. The fruit looked like it had been there for weeks and was rotting. When we went to check out at 8:00 am, there was a sign on the desk that they stepped away and no one was available to address these concerns with. This was one of our saddest stays at a Stoney Creek."
