In fact, it is hard to believe that so many people don’t take the time allotted off work to rest and recharge! As the only physician on the panel of Travelocity Gnational Gnomads, I believe not taking these allotted days off is not good for your health, nor is it good for the health of your company! Hotel Mousai (Adults Only)
Only a short distance from the international airport and near Banderas Bay, you cannot go wrong with this awesomely situated hotel. It is located within a conglomeration of a family-style hotel known as the Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa and is known as Hotel Mousai. Staying at Hotel Mousai will give you access Garza Blanca’s amenities, but I am almost positive you will never want to leave Hotel Mousai. This hotel is different. It is a private adults-only hotel with a negative edged rooftop pool. Talk about high-end and wonderful, you will be sipping your mojitos at 350 feet above sea level. Hotel Mousai specializes in the VIP treatment that you will receive. So go ahead and book this hotel to enjoy your private Jacuzzi, hammock and your suite’s stunning view!

Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa (Family Friendly)
And speaking of the Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa, if you do have a family, then feel free to bring them here to this all-inclusive luxury Puerto Vallarta resort. In the backdrop of the Sierra Madre Mountains and located in the tropical green jungle, this resort in Banderas Bay is a stunner. This all-inclusive property features an infinity pool, a private beach, and a nice spa. It also has high-end restaurants with a wide-ranging selection of wines in its wine cellar and a tequila tasting room.

Casa Velas (Adults Only)
Another adults-only hotel not too far from the international airport is the all-inclusive resort known as Casa Velas. This resort also offers a private beachfront Ocean Club for you and your significant other to enjoy the day. They feature a spa and a massive swimming pool on site with a swim-up bar. The ambiance is quiet and relaxing (with no kids around). I also loved the chance to “borrow” or “check-out” a designer handbag when I went out for the evening at their handbag bar, which is a great added benefit to staying here. There is also a golf course on the premises when you want to play a round or two of golf.
Velas Vallarta (Family Friendly)
The family-friendly version of Casa Velas is the Velas Vallarta, which is only a five-minute drive from the international airport. This family-friendly resort is perfectly situated on Banderas Bay. It is perfect for families who want to spend their days at the pool and who have little ones that they would like to drop off at the kids’ club.

Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit (Family Friendly)
Speaking of the Velas Family of hotels, they do have another one that is not exactly in Puerto Vallarta, but close enough over in Nayarit known as the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. This area of Puerto Vallarta has a bit of different “feel” to it, but you can expect the same stunning Mexican sunsets. This beachfront hotel is for sure family friendly with a kids’ club and a teens’ club as well. This can ensure that the kids are having as much fun as the adults!
Now Amber Puerto Vallarta (Family Friendly)
I can’t say enough about how easy some of these all-inclusive hotels are to get to from the airport. Once you breeze past the hoards of people wanting to give you a ride, you will find your driver outside of the airport waiting for you. That is exactly what happened the last time I stayed at Now Amber Puerto Vallarta. This hotel is perfect for families and friends alike to visit. This is an interesting concept in hotels in that this is the family-friendly side of a two hotel complex. Adults though do have access to the hotel next door of Secrets Vallarta Bay (mentioned below). One outstanding thing about this hotel is its amazing Secrets Spa by Pevonia. You can enjoy your day in two steam rooms, two saunas, and a hydrotherapy tub at this all-inclusive resort.

Secrets Vallarta Bay (Adults Only)
As mentioned above, the other side of the Now Amber Puerto Vallarta Resort is Secrets Vallarta Bay. This adults-only, all-inclusive resort has it all with its brand new casino, an open-air theater, and water trampoline. There is plenty to do in the way of water sports (including the fun aqua aerobics class) as well as great dining at this resort with nightly entertainment. And being super close to the airport is a plus, as you will get into vacation mode fast!

Hyatt Ziva (Family Friendly)
Located not far from downtown Puerto Vallarta with incredible views of Conchas Chinas Beach, the Hyatt Ziva is an all-inclusive luxury resort that recently had a renovation. It offers massive amounts of food and drinks, as well as great entertainment every night. It’s family friendly, but also has access to tequila tasting and genuine taco food carts, as well as a sports bar. All this, so Mom and Dad can have fun too!

Grand Fiesta Americana Vallarta (Adults Only)
This adults-only resort, Grand Fiesta Americana Vallarta, is only 15 minutes from the Romantic Zona (also known as Old Town or Old Vallarta) in Puerto Vallarta and the perfect location for couples to enjoy a romantic holiday. With its infinity pool or mesmerizing spa, you will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy each other. Plus the magic of Puerto Vallarta is out there if you need it. And it is close by for a dinner out. Otherwise, spend your days enjoying the amazing views of Bahia de Banderas sipping your favorite cocktail by the pool or at dinner in world class surroundings.
Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive Spa and Hotel (Family Friendly)
And last but certainly not least, the Fiesta American Puerto Vallarta is the sister property to the one mentioned above. But this property is for friends and family. Here there are amazing culinary experiences you can have along with family fun. You can savor each moment that you guys are all together eating both regional and international cuisine. They also have 24-hour free room service, so be sure and try that too!
