The property has always been on my bucket list, i stayed 1 night last fall, and wanted to try a few nights, what a mistake 😫 no a/c in the summer time. The room was dated, and not clean, the bed was not comfortable. Oh well. Its off the bucket list 👌

This property is very old and is in serious need of updating. There are bed bugs, no AC, the kitchenette is deplorable (I wish I could attach pictures). The smell of mold and mildew in the room. We had to leave and find another hotel. This place is seriously over priced.

The hotel was clean and comfortable for the most part. The lack of AC and no screens on the windows got the room pretty hot at night. There isn't much to do in the immediate area, but is a short drive/cab ride to more lively areas. We felt safe the entire time.

It is a one-star motel so have to set expectations accordingly, Bed was comfortable and clean. Actually was very quiet overnight even with the room next door where at appeared people were living there. Room was okay, still needs remodel to complete. Pain on the closet door is peeling off and it looks like the front door had been kicked-in at some point and rudimentary repairs to piece the deadbolt back in place. With this being said, I absolutely would stay here again! Love the vibe and the services in the immediate area!
A real key!
Parking right in front of my room!
Door had been kicked in at some time and this is the rudimentary repairs. Still locked however.

The strong smell of mold/mildew was terrible. The carpets in the room were probably the original 1960s carpet. We could not get over the smell, had the fans going, windows were barely usable, could easily be broken into. For $140 a night, this was far worst than staying at a motel 6. We have young kids and they immediately commented on the smelly room and wanted to sleep in our car instead of the room. I didn’t even let my dog walk on the floor in the room because I was disgusted with the carpet. The only thing new was the bathtub, but the ventilation of the room is so poor, everything reeked of mildew.

Vintage style motel

It is an old style motel on spreading park like setting, right on busy Kingsway. It is clean, comfortable and partiality renowned. Easy access to downtown, bus, all sorts of restaurants around. Excellent sushi restaurant right across the street. The outside area has picnic tables. The rooms are cooled with a fan, there is no AC, but even it was a hot July day, the sleeping temperature was fine. I would definitely come back if I needed relatively central, affordable accommodation.

An ok spot to stay.

I filled out the form from hotels asking about how the check in went and then shared that the cable tc was not working. Within an hour a front desk clerk called the hotel room phone and asked if they can come over to fix it. They came over but was not able to fix it. I was told that it would be fixed in the morning and when I came back to the room later that night it was still not fixed. I called the manager five days after my stay and he worked out a discount for the inconvenience of not having a functioning tv. They were available to help but the tv issue needed more reminders. The carpet was dirty and restoom was dusty from cobwebs but the room gave my dog and I a safe place to stay and there was a neat garden right outside of our room and a seat to lounge outside.

Our room was very close to a main road so was very noisy making it nearly impossible to get a good sleep. The staff tried their best to move us but it was very busy and they were full. I would stay here again but only if I could choose a room in a quieter location.
Kingsway was right in front of our room
A comfortable bed
Cute fireplace but it didn’t work. Also the window in the kitchenette has sheer curtains so it was very light even at night with Christmas lights around the outside of the building.

No AC

The hotel has a great location in the city. However, when I arrived, the room was sticky and humid, despite the description mentioning that the air conditioner was available. This made it difficult for me to sleep.

The room I stayed in had very lukewarm to cool hot water service, and was unusable for showering. I showered at work due to this issue.

Stayed 2 nights and never coming back again. It ruined my daughters birthday. First night I asked the front desk if it's quite around here he stated yes. the sheet I signed it stated quiet hours 10pm-7am. Beside us there was an old man and apparently he's lived here for years, his TV was so loud all day!!!! I figured 10pm comes around it would be quite as it's stated in the rules. It was quite for an hour then my daughter and I got woken up to the loud TV at 11pm. I called front desk he had to come 2 times to get the guy to turn down the TV! Mind you it's 1250am now. Awful sleep and recked the rest of my day with my daughter we didn't get to do anything as we were tired. I requested a different room. Second night a lot of banging around 10:30pm when it's supposed to be quiet time. My 10 year old daughter can't sleep again. I am stressed, have anxiety and a headache all day from the lack of sleep. Bed is very hard and uncomfortable. The second night I got woken up to the workers before 7am under my room as I guess that's where they keep the amenities. Very loud thumping and banging. I hope the manager sees this and does the right thing and give me my money back for the first night. I would if rather slept in my car and got a better sleep and saved over $500! This experience for my daughters birthday was 3/10 for her. Such disappointment. The place was old, there was lots of holes in the walls and also looked like fecal matter on the side of the sink. The deposit was $300, I to

This motel features a number of single-story buildings, each housing a few apartment-style units. The one-bedroom suite we stayed in was spacious, with a separate bedroom for two, living room which were fully furnished and a kitchen equipped with an electric range, microwave, toaster, and an electric kettle. There was ample closet space and plenty of parking throughout the property. However, the unit lacked air conditioning, and the overall structure felt very dated. Furniture, appliances, and electrical outlets showed significant wear. Only one functional kitchen outlet was available for all appliances. There was no room service, including garbage removal, and our request for vacuuming was ignored. The laminate flooring had a sticky, soot-like residue that clung to bare feet which was difficult to clean completely. If one can manage the lack of cleanliness and the heat—relying solely on a ceiling fan—these suites may offer good value relative to more expensive hotels in the area.
