The house was fantastic and in a perfect location with amazing views straight to the water. Beautiful sunsets from the porch. Amazing home, very clean, well appointed. Five minute walk to town center. The host was very responsive and friendly. Exceptional property to stay in. Highly recommend.

The home is in a perfect location on the beach and easy walking distance to Seaside town. It was perfect for my daughters and I, and we had a great time. I'm a builder by trade so i would make a few updates to kitchen and baths, but overall, just great! Great communication with property manager too. We'll definitely be back!

The Most Incredible Experience

We absolutely loved our stay at this stunning seaside home. The views, the location, the intricate design details, the beautiful spiral staircase and of course our host Charlotte who may very well have been the nicest host ever. Our family had a trip we will definitely remember !

Perfect Location and Charming House

Charlotte is a wonderful host. She kindly moved our stay by one day when we ended up having a conflict. The house had everything you needed, and she had a nice little welcome gift of wine and chocolates! The house is in the PERFECT location. Right on the beach and has two porches where you can watch the sunset. One is completely covered so you can enjoy it even during the heat of the day. The house has all the toys and rafts you could want. My two teenage girls loved it. We would highly recommend for anyone visiting Seaside! Thank you for the great stay, Charlotte.

Perfect location for spring break

Wonderful house located next door to beach access. Perfect for our family of 5. We parked our car and didn’t get back in until we departed. Town square a short walk with plenty of food and shops.

Proteus is a beautiful home in a perfect location! Our family of five had an amazing time. The owner went out of her way to make sure we had an awesome stay. We highly recommend it and will come back to Seaside.

Wonderful Property

We loved our stay here! We were greeted with a thoughtful gift bag which was so nice of Charlotte to give. The house was clean and accommodating to everyone's needs. Very close to restaurants and shops. The beach access was right in our backyard which my older parents loved. The house supplied plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and children's beach toys. I've stayed at other rentals that didn't have the basics for cleaning up but this house did. You don't need to worry about dish soap, laundry soap, and coffee. I found that to be a really nice simple bonus. We had 6 adults and 2 children in pack in plays. The kids were under two and I was concerned about baby proofing. The doors of the cabinets were not easily opened by them. Nothing was in the lowers to be too scared about. I was able to zip tie a baby gate to the living room stairs for safety and easy removal which totally worked. My family is already talking about coming back again!

NICE

7 days, two adults with three teen/young adult children. Amazing location. Walk to beach, walk to pool/tennis. Walk to town center, shopping and food trucks/restaurants. Plenty of towels, beach toys, kitchen stuff, bicycles. Even supplied coffee for the keurig. Host very prompt response to questions. Porch views and seating outstanding. The hidden 2 Adirondack chairs on the dune are wonderful .Highly recommend!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Proteus. Charlotte was very prompt in any question/concern that I had. VERY short walk to the square and the beach. I wanted a house that we could see the ocean and this was the perfect location.

We had the most amazing time in Seaside at Proteus. The house is absolutely beautiful with so much attention to detail. Charlotte has thought of everything to make your stay easy and comfortable. Centrally located, Clean, Comfortable

Our family recently concluded our stay at the property. We carefully selected the property based on the reviews from prior travelers and our stay did not disappoint! The home is spectacular - tastefully and comfortably furnished, clean, and bright. The beds and linens were luxurious. There were plenty of crisp-clean fluffy towels, plenty of kitchen equipment for our stay, and lots of extras that we took advantage of daily - beach toys, chairs, beach towels, etc. The host was incredible - very responsive, kind, and, welcoming. You can tell the host put a lot of thought and detail in creating a carefree and enjoyable vacation experience for guests. The check-in and check-out instructions were so simple we had to do a double-take. The home's location is in the heart of Seaside yet quiet enough to enjoy a peaceful evening. The property accommodates a 360 view, which includes a big portion of the town, ocean as far as the eye can see (including dolphins), and very comfortable and quality patio furniture to enjoy meals / lounge. The home has an outdoor shower and immediate access to what I consider one of the best pavilions (private, well-maintained, and equipped with several bathrooms, showers, and leading directly to a stunning beach). We are grateful we found this host and property and can't wait to return.

Just Perfect

We have stayed in the 30a area 5 times now and this property is absolutely amazing. The hostess is so responsive and accommodating. Wine and snacks were waiting on check in and there were no extra clean-up expectations on check-out. Bikes, beach umbrella, towels, grill, etc. etc. Easy beach access. Beautifully secluded "back yard" with chairs to relax in. Crow's nest view is amazing. Leisurely walk to the square or to the fitness/pool/tennis amenities. This place is a gem.

Fantastic week at Seaside

We were very happy to be staying in Proteus. The location of the house is so close to both the beach and the heart of Seaside. The house itself was immaculate and stocked with everything we could want for a week at the beach. Charlotte was the most responsive and thoughtful host. The views of the beach and the ocean from the top deck are amazing and we spent many an evening enjoying the 360 degrees sunset views. We definitely want to return to this fine house.

Perfect Place in Seaside

This was a trip with 2 moms and teens. It was the perfect setup. Bedrooms were good size. Layout was reverse layout so bedrooms on the bottom, which was great to not have to tote luggage upstairs. Den and kitchen were on the second level so you could see the beach. I loved the little area on the third floor. It had a quaint sitting area and there was outdoor seating out there. This is where me and the other mom hung out and the teens took the den. It gave us both a space so that was nice. The location to the center of Seaside was perfect. Even though the house came with bikes you could easily walk to the restaurants and shops there and also to Watercolor. The house is also located to the Seaside beach entrance so it was very easy to get to the beach.

Our granddaughter loved the spiral staircase and her bunk bed. The views from the balconies and living area were great especially with the beautiful weather. And great directions/house information given by the hostess.
