The hotel is clean, safe, and all of the amenities function properly. The gapping around the door allows a lot of the exterior noise to be heard, but fortunately it was manageable.

We booked The Atwood Hotel last minute around 10pm for a quick overnight stay after visiting San Diego. We prepaid, arrived at 2am, and the front desk agent said he was about to start canceling reservations and that they were sold out — even though rooms were still showing online. It felt like an excuse to give us one of the leftover rooms, which often happens with third-party bookings. The room was dark with only one lamp, the outlet by the bed didn’t work, the bathroom paint was peeling, and the shower tile was stained. It worked for a few hours of sleep, but it’s definitely not an 8.0 property. Wouldn’t stay again.
