The Residence Inn in the Gaslamp District was very nice. My room was spacious and the staff was awesome! The location was very good for the convention center, Gaslamp and the trolley. There are a lot of restaurants about.

Room (508) located across hall from where a loud carpet blower was placed in hallway thought out stay. As a result, room had constant mildew/mold odor. I reported to staff and they promised to add 10k Bonvoy points to account for this issue. Despite an additional call to hotel inquiring about the 10k Bonvoy Points, I still have yet to hear from hotel and points continue to not be reflected on account.

Couch in room was torn, called for towels in the AM and delivered 2 hours later after I called again. Fire alarm went off at 3:00 am was evacuated ended up exiting through the back where the homeless sleep. When we walked around the building to the front, no one from the front stated why the alarm went off, waited out there for an hour and a half. I asked the front desk and they said it was a false alarm horrible, horrible, horrible.
