Great location! Beach bars and restaurants right there. Free parking. Good stock of munchies and beverages at regular prices in lobby mart. The patio is spacious and the ocean view overlooks a good place to take in the scene. We opted for the ocean view room w balcony and glad we did: you face the street but can see the ocean and pier. The non balcony rooms have just a solid wall with no view .. they are probably quieter but would be darker.

We chose "suite" oceanview. Suite is overstating, as was really 2 beds in single room with 2 person table and small balcony. Was reasonably clean and beds very comfortable. View amazing. Bathroom beyond small, very dated room. Many things not working. Staff just made excuses and said as it was weekend nothing could be fixed. Office staff really displayed a disconnected, Oh well attitude about most requests. Because we could only have air or heat, not both, brought us a portable box fan covered in dirt and rust. Felt very overpriced. Honestly, you are paying for location and view, if you pick oceanview.

We stayed in the suite with the King bed. Best view of the ocean! Clean room, open shared patio with beach view and nice staff. Great location, lots of good food options nearby especially OB Surf Lodge for breakfast and Mike’s Tacos for lunch. Would highly recommend!

We really love our stay the front desk clerks were very very friendly the rooms are very small restrooms are very small and the beds could actually be upgraded they were very uncomfortable too soft but we we dealt with it and we had a great time Ocean Beach proper is a beautiful place to visit the people are great very friendly looking forward to returning again very soon also the weather was not that great LOL it rained most of the time but we really enjoyed the ocean view.
