This is a beautiful property; however, checking in took over 30 minutes because the front desk was understaffed. A hotel this big should have more than two people working at the front desk.

Location was perfect. Shops, small eateries and restaurants were all in walking distance. Convention center and Seaport Village are right down the street. We had a fantastic view of both the city and bay. Would definitely stay here again.

Pool bar closed on a Saturday for the whole day and then pool bar only open for drinks and not food on a Sunday. The main lounge called the landing, for food and drinks was also closed all day on a Sunday! The hot tub was yellow. Our family was kicked off the pickleball court at 8pm on a Saturday night. The rooftop Cinema said we could not buy tickets at the rooftop for a movie and they needed to be purchased in advance online, even though there were seats available. You are assigned an elevator everytime and the system cannot determine how many guests it allows on, so the elevator was often over capacity. I will definitely not be staying here again. After I finished running the San Diego marathon I came back to the hotel and asked for a couple water bottles for me and my family and the receptionist told me she was only supposed to give out 2 waters per day. I was offered more water by bystanders than I was at the hotel I was spending $350.00 to stay at. Disappointed such a great city has a hotel with such poor service. I heard the Marriott next door is much nicer for the same price. Next time we come we will not be staying at the Manchester Grand.
