Cozy and comfortable hotel! Wonderful amenities like free breakfast, happy hour, milk & cookies and the tea & coffee area. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Great location, plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Just a short walk to the beach. Memorial Day - Labor Day they offer a beach buggy to drive you down to the beach - and they also have beach chairs you can use. Rainy day? Don't worry, they have umbrellas for you to use. They also have a nice library with books, games and a computer. Browseabout Books is a short walk away if you need some readinf material.

Absolutely the Best stay at the Avenue Hotel. Very courteous, attentive, friendly and caring staff. Hotel and the suite we stayed at was spotless and well maintained! The hotel staff was friendly and the environment welcoming. The room was well-appointed and had all the things we needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and steam room amenities as well. The breakfast was okay - there was a good variety, though I wish there would have been some fruit options. Overall, it was a great stay and we'd love to come back!

Second visit to this place and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. This time we were in the main building, which was less spacious than the annex, but being closer to the "action" it outweighed any disadvantages. They have a happy hour and milk and cookies later in the evening. Room was clean, all items in good repair, bed considerably more comfortable than most hotels. Will be going back.
