Where to start. At first, this hotel seemed perfect! Great location, a massive room, friendly staff, and an amazing view. We had 4 nights booked. After the second night, I woke up itchy. I just assumed it was the sandflies that everyone spoke of. The third night my father complained they were itchy as well. I also was significantly more itchy. I tore back the sheets and the picture showes what I found. There was a cleaner in the hallway so I told them. They immediately called thier supervisor and the supervisor confirmed that it looked like bed bugs. She stated she would speak to the front desk and spmeone would call the room.
I recieved a phone call that they had another room available and we could move. We packed up our luggage and I went to check the next room. They moved us from 1455 to 1437. Sure enough, that room had signs of bed bugs too. Less eggs, but more sheds. Still gross. The mattress looked terrible.
I went and told front desk that I wanted a refund and wanted to check out. I was informed that they were not able to issue a refund due to it being a weekend. I believe I was speaking with the duty manager. They stated that because I booked on Expedia, they had not recieved payment from Expedia, so they could not do anything.
This seemed like such a passive uncaring answer. I asked if calling Expedia was my next step. They said I could try. Thank goodness for Expedia. They offered me a credit and convinced the hotel to let me check out a day early. The hotel would o
