This was my first time in Mexico at an all inclusive. Villa del palmar was more than I expected. Every single staff member was exceptional. The amenities were outstanding. The whole resort was very clean and well maintained.

The rooms are nice, and the food is excellent here. However, the staff is what makes this resort shine. We've stayed here twice and both times the excellent staff members have made the stay memorable and enjoyable!

Rooms, staff especially Alberto and pool staff amazing. The resort is gorgeous! Food, drinks and room service wonderful. There is even black jack in the pool and fabulous aqua fit. Beach is beautiful I am going back in 8 weeks and booking soon

Was all excellent, hope to come back soon. Just two things you should be aware of. The AC wouldn’t shut off, probably bad thermostat. Costing a lot of money running like that. Also Master toilet the water runs all the time. Thanks Gary.

Room was old the area rug the the beds sit on was stained and dirty looking, on their website it says all rooms have 50" smart tvs but that was a no the tv barely worked and when your trying to relax at the end of the night you cant watvh anything. Room cleaning was good when it was done we were there 8 night and 3 days they didnt come or they came latearound 4pm when kids were napping. Also first night we put the bathrug out because it was really dirty and had some red stains on it , we never received another and everyday we mentioned it to cleaner or the turndown service person. Also this place isnt really all included, theres a restaurant you can only go to if hour a member , members get all the better loungers at the pool, and its super complicated that you paid for all included yet you still get a check after everymeal, after drinks when you leave the pool, my kids 11, and 14 couldnt order mudslides on their own without me they would not take their order, the service at the restaurants were om Caprichos was by far the worse, all the food is cold in the steamers and it took forever to get a coffe reffil with 20 servers around, all in all i will not be returning to villa del palmar or recomending it to any body also the money exchange is a rip off the conversion from usd to mxn was 15.30 same day in cancun we enchanged it for 17.20. In conclusion this place seems to be great if youre a member otherwise its not worth the stay. Our room was 1609B

Rooms were immaculate! Plenty of shade on the beach & pool area. There were no activities on the resort in the evening. Your only option is just dinner. Unfortunately, waiting until you come to make dinner reservations will leave you eating at 9 pm.

The room was clean, the food was great, most of staffs were friendly, except I think one of transportation managers, which I bought a round trip transportation from airport to hotel and back to airport, but the night before we want to return to airport, I called our resort front desk to make sure everything is ok, and the manager of transportation his name was Louis he told me they canceled your transportation to airport, which I was very upset, I told him why you guys didn’t let me before, why it’s canceled, he said I am sorry I don’t know but we will refund your money or find you a taxi, I told what if I didn’t call and I missed my flight cause of waiting for my transportation which canceled, actually I made that reservation with lady her name was America Franquiz, she didn’t give any information about transportation cancellation also the manager of all restaurants I don’t know his name, but he wasn’t helpful and friendly at all

This hotel is a WOW! The entire resort is amazing from the beautiful room (fully stocked with drinks, beer, water and snacks everyday and they did a second cleaning, closed the drapes, and left a little treat every night) to the pool and beach area. The staff was always SO friendly, helpful, and quick with anything needed. So many pools and jacuzzi. The beach bar with the swings was our favorite and we had pizza every day for lunch (so yummy). We were always able to get chairs on the beach. We also enjoyed the obstacle course and kayaks. Unfortunately the water wasn't clear enough to snorkel on sight but it was warm! We did snorkel with an excursion we booked from the beach- HIGHLY recommend! THe shopping and carousel was a fun treat. We did go the magic show- the entire family enjoyed it!!! Only one complaint. We had a party of 8. When we checked in we were told there were NO reservations available for the entire week. This was pretty upsetting. We travel a lot and have never had to make dinner reservations in advance. We did end eatting at the sports bar most nights- no resrevation needed and we all loved the sushi! We did break away from our group and got to try the steak restaurant and mexican for lunch one of the days. Such a fabulous resort and amazing vacation!! Ps. weather was AMAZING (just a little windy) and NO bugs!! Oh and the hammock on the patio was the icing on the cake!

Everything was great the food was good. They had lots of options ask them to make your drinks strong or you wont feel anything. Only thing is the transportation that they provided it was 100 USD for a round trip to and from the air port they showed up late to the air port by like 20-30 minutes and they showed up late to pick us up from the hotel by 44 minutes. I think you would be better off using uber it was about 20 dollars USD to get to the airport from the resort wlwhike using uber

We stayed for five days and had a wonderful time overall. All of the staff were extremely kind, friendly, and professional. However, unlike other resorts we have stayed at, there were a large number of mosquitoes. I was bitten so many times that it was difficult to sleep through the night, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the water had an unpleasant odor, to the point where I felt uncomfortable and even hesitant to take a shower. For this reason, I would not recommend this place to guests who are sensitive to mosquito bites, have allergies or concerns related to them, or are sensitive to strong odors in water.

The hotel was clean and maintained, though some areas felt dated. Check-in took significantly longer than expected, and the upsell interaction for partner property coupons created confusion and led to an unplanned delay. This resulted in us missing lunch, and the process consumed 3–4 hours that could have been spent settling in on day after travel. Food quality across restaurants was good, with the Italian restaurant standing out. Drinks were overly sweet for our preference, but overall dining experience was a 7/10. Rooms were well kept and the staff was courteous throughout the stay. The resort works well for families with children due to activities and convenience. While it may not be my first pick for a future visit, it remains a reasonable option when traveling with kids.
