Only negative thing observed was that there was always a cart inside the elevators, ,making the space very small, to use it. Otherwise, it was a secure hotel, with good dining options and an excellent massage spa.

Great value hotel

I Have always had a great stay at this hotel, thats why i always go back, easy to get to from both the centre of town and the airport using either the metro (Flora) or tram (5,9,55 or58) the staff make you feel welcome and speak very good English and are always willing to help. The hotel has spent money on renovations in the last few years and it gets better each time and for the price its great value for money

Shared Bathroom

Mixed feelings. on one hand the hotel was very affordable (got a deal) , clean and conveniently located it was a huge disappointment that we had to share the bathroom despite me calling ahead to ensure that there are private bathrooms! going outside of our room to use a shared bathroom in the middle of the night (or even in the morning) after drinking plenty of beer (which is one of the things to do in Prague) with a loudly squeking bathroom door was very inconvenient and especially frustrating when i was ensured that the room came with a private bathroom. the balcony that we had looked at walls across the building so didn't enjoy city views. the staff was nice, breakfast was plenty and since the hotel was full of senior citizens our sleep was uninterrupted until somebody opened the bathroom door...... overall i would recommend this hotel for economic reasons and to be close to the city but know what the bethroom situation is going in....

so uncomfortable beds, dirty towels and in general I don't thing it had 3 stars hotel's standard. bathroom stuffs were not complete(no shampoo, no hair dryer). these were negative things about the hotel but it is close enough to touristic area with good transportation system.

Transportation directly in front of hotel. Front desk is extremely helpful (especially Klara)! No AC but open window at night. Restaurant in front of building is good. Would definitely stay again.

Convenient, comfortable, low-cost

I had a comfortable, very clean, pleasant double room. Breakfasts in the main restaurant were decent but unexciting, the lobby bar offered more choices. The hotel is on major tram lines with a stop right outside the door, so it's simple and quick to get to most parts of the city; the same is not true of some city-centre hotels. I would recommend buying one or more of the cheap three-day travel passes at the airport, they are undated until you stamp them upon entering a tram or bus or metro station. The hotel is very good value for money.

Not a good first night, or so it seemed at the time ! Unfortunately we had a load of Italian school kids in the rooms all around us, and the teachers were not in the least interested in controlling them, we were getting phone calls at 3am from them etc, reception and security were not able to do anything either. On demanding to see the manager the next morning, he was apologetic, and immediately moved us to another room well away from the rabble.

A very good location - close to centrum

The Olsanka hotel is a dated, Russian looking type hotel. It is very easy to get to the centrum on #9 tram, which stops directly in front of the hotel. The service at the front desk was pleasant and efficient. The room and bathroom were very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was ample, but it would be nice to incorporate fresh fruit. The windows are very large and hard to open and keep open.

goos 3 star hotel

the hotel is overall ok, early late 70s building, reception quite good and they speak english, there is a lounge bar that does food too which is not bad, breakfast is ok easter european style, the hotel can hold conferences and has alsoan indoor swimming pool, sauna massage, fitness room tennis court yard indoor. It has also a resturant and next to the hotel you have a beauty salon a pizza resturant and a pub, in front you have several shops and other resturant, and a tram stop is exactly in front of the resturant very handy, the underground is just 10 minutes walking . to get to town centre by transport is very easy takes 12 minutes approx, walking lets to the old town square will take 40 minutes. Near the hotel you still have places to visit. The airport by taxi is only30 35 minutes away. Overall i reccomend this hotel for school trips or business trips, or group trips, but i was there as a single,and i saw many couples and families too. The rooms are clean especially the bathroom, but the furniture style is quite old but not decadent, so overall for a 3 stars and for the price i got i would say it was a good hotel, but i would not spend more of what i did, so i would come back if i had the same offer, if i have to spend more than i prefer to go to one closer to town square, even though taking the tram is nice as you can see the city life.

i would stay at Olsanka again

Greeted by friendly staff. Room was tidy. Restaurant inside offering quality food at cheap prices. Room tidied daily with fresh towels. Smokey smell when woke up in room as teenagers smoke in the lobby area and this smell enters all the rooms but if you open your window to air your room out it will be fine. The heater in the room can be put on full blast if need be which was good. Some of the receptionists are more helpful than others depending on their level of spoken english.

Neither good or bad. Hence, ok to stay.

No English TV programs. I am mentioning this because there is nothing to do in the room since we cannot use Wifi in the room unless you pay. Breakfast isn't that tasty. Just simple bread and coffee and eggs etc.

Best Offer for City Travelling

1. Check-in and Check-out are very fast, polite and efficient. 2. Room are very clean. comfortable beds with big beautiful view window. Bathroom and toilet are very new and clean. 3.Lobby bar has lots of drinks during late night till 24Uhr. 4. Very good Tram and bus connection to all sightseeing places. 5.Breakfast is wonderful and lots of choices...even better than 4 star-hotel.
