There was almost no hot water during our stay. The kitchen and second bathroom shower/tub had no hot water at all, and one of the master shower heads was completely broken. Out of four shower heads in the house, only one provided a functioning hot shower.Communication with the hosts was extremely poor. I messaged them about these issues, and it took 13 hours to receive a response. They eventually sent a handyman on our second day, but all he did was reset the water heater and say there was nothing else he could do. Afterward, I looked through previous reviews and found guests mentioning the same hot water problems, so this was clearly not a new issue.Later, the hosts later criticized me for allowing the handyman to leave and suggested sending him back the next morning if I could “wait around” for him. We were on vacation and already had plans. Despite reaching out, the hosts never responded to my messages again. The lack of hot water became incredibly inconvenient. We had friends over for dinner one evening, and I actually had to use hot water from a bathroom sink to thaw shrimp because the kitchen had none.Cleanliness and maintenance were also disappointing, dirty dishes and backyard. The pool “seating area” was cracked, missing tiles and not clean so we avoided it completely. The outdoor furniture cushions were covered in bird droppings, and there wasn’t even a fresh kitchen sponge provided.
