We had a fantastic time living like regular Philly city dwellers. The house is lovely and right across from a beautiful park, perfect for our dogs and just to sit in the evenings and people watch. Smell is very important to me and there was absolutely no smell when we arrived. I know this sounds silly but in other rentals the smell has been overwhelming (cleaning fluid or not clean smells). The stairs were a little steep (a typical Philly row house), but my legs are stronger. The kitchen had everything we needed. There are lots of little restaurants, food stores and pubs within walking distance (we ate out much of the time to experience Philly food). Bathrooms items were provided as in the description. The TV availability was amazing! The full bed to set up in one room does mean both beds took up the whole room but that was okay because all we did was sleep there. The spacious bathrooms allowed for dressing. Parking is on the street. Several places were open in front of the house often during the day. We never moved our car until we left, we walked or rode the bus. Bus 57 arrives just down from the front door and goes to all the historic attractions. We got around efficiently on the buses and if you are 65 or older you ride free! The bus drivers helped us out and meeting the people on the bus was informative and fun. Jennifer was available any time of the day/night. We really enjoyed our city vaca!
