The room we stayed in, which I upgraded to a King Deluxe, had a serious mold issue. Room #140 was so outdated that the outlets couldn’t even hold device plugs without them falling out. In addition to the mold on the bathroom ceilings, the lining in the bathroom was an eyesore and detracted from my overall experience.

I checked in around 9 PM, and the front desk staff was noticeably cold and unwelcoming—borderline rude. When I got to the room, I found that the window was missing a proper blackout curtain, the closet doors couldn’t fully close, and there were visible stains on the nightstand. Since I was traveling with my daughter, I quickly unpacked and got her settled for a bath and some rest. By the time I noticed these issues, I didn’t have the energy to ask for a room change, especially after the unpleasant check-in experience. Honestly, we were just trying to get through the night. Definitely not a place I would choose again.

The location is great; shower was was tepid on a good day, the room leaked when it rained, staff was condescending and aloof - to be fair not all of them were just the young lady at the front desk with the dreds. She didn’t listen, lied and her explanation of charges were vague at best. I have been going to NOLA for almost 50 years and have stayed all over the quarter, this hotel is not one I would stay at again. Hope your experience is better than mine.

Historic and Beautiful…a couple of minor issues

The hotel is historic and beautiful. And located right in the Quarter which can’t be beat. The staff is also friendly and very welcoming. Downsides: I had a terrible tiny room on the top floor next to the service elevator. I should have spoken up and switched rooms. It was tiny and noisy. And also there’s no room service or 24/7 food. That’s a huge miss for a hotel in my opinion. Still, I’d come back and just ask for a better room.

Hotel was fine,room as described but the view outside window was not great as scaffolding was right outside, feel that the hotel should have told is in advance . Clean and friendly door staff

The staff were rude and condescending. We are currently disputing charges they added on after the room was already paid through Expedia. We prepaid and they wanted to charge an additional tourist fee (even though all excursions were booked by us), parking (which we were fine with), and upgraded room fees (which we were not advised of). Very scammy

Conveniently located. Very weak shower water pressure and that took forever to warm up. Not a biggie, but first impressions matter… The first day the housekeeping clean everything but forgot to make my bed. On the last day, we had to cancel our breakfast because otherwise we would have missed our flight. Server took forever to take our order, beverages were finally served close to 40 minutes after we sat down, we ask our sever to find out how much long it would take to get our food and he disappeared. After ten more minutes of that nonsense, we let the front desk know of the situation and had to book it to the airport.
