Welcoming staff, convenient location, but building needs updates The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. The room size was convenient and overall quiet, except for some noise from the window-style AC unit. The washroom was quite small, though. The building is very old—as is the entire surrounding area—and there was a noticeable musty smell both in the room and common areas. It really feels like the whole place could use a renovation. On the plus side, parking was easy and located right next to the building. I paid $15 per 24 hours, with the ability to come and go multiple times.

All in all would stay there again

Very convenient location. Easy access to parking. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Basement had a pool table for down time if needed. All in all, no frills but clean, friendly, nice lobby and sitting area. Spacious rooms half mile from the Old Port accessible within walking distance

Outside is deceiving as it looks run down from exterior but inside is clean and service was prompt and friendly. Very easy to park and extremely walkable with a lot to do nearby.

Very impressed by the cleanliness of the space and the convenience of the location-walking steps to a favorite restaurant,VEGE,subway a block away. Best accumulation of fine dining-cheap,too-all walkable. First went to MJF in the ‘80’s and made sure to squeeze as many concerts as possible. Travel tip: get your rest daily. Either way you approach a stay in Montreal- jazz festival or not-this choice spot on St.Denis deserves a look. You can get to as many eateries as possible (squeezing in musical performances around them),or the other way around! All year long. Viva Montreal!

Trombone Shorty,jamming on the trumpet,too! On stage-jammin’- for nearly two hours. Remarkable player,with a band to match.
Walking downtown,saw this work of art on a wall-yes,on a wall. It was done a disservice by those who “tagged” over it. The real “art” managed to survive,in spite of it all. It always does.
