I can’t quite decide what to say for this review. On the one hand, the house had basically everything you’d need. Plenty of bedrooms for our family and an amazing outdoor space. On the other, the place was dirty, outdated and it felt like everything we touched was broken! Every single pool stick was missing its tip. One of the master bedrooms shower drain didn’t drain so my dad actually went to the store and bought drain-o to fix it. One of the kayaks had a crack and my husband ended up sinking and getting stranded in the mangroves 30 minutes from our house! The living room TV remotes didn’t work. The dish washer wouldn’t start. The fridge water was making a bizarre sound and came out at a tiny trickle? Last of all, when we arrived the floors were filthy, sandy and dusty, so we actually swept and swiffered the whole house as soon as we arrived. I’ve definitely never had to clean a house at the beginning of our stay before this…One last thing that shocked me was that halfway through our week, a realtor reached out and asked to show the house to a potential buyer. She said “You don't have to leave just stay out by the pool or whatever ..is fine ?” I couldn’t believe that after paying close to seven grand for a week that they wanted us to let strangers walk through the house while we waited outside! All that aside, the house was spacious, outdoor space was wonderful and proximity to Sombrero beach was spectacular. Wish it would have been more affordable.
