Great except for a glitch

Everything was great until we couldn't get back into our room to get our bags an hour before check out. We hadn't checked out yet the code didn't work anymore. Thankfully a cleaning staff happened by and opened the door.

Place was conveniently located with everything I needed. However, it was very loud with no soundproofing. I could hear people talking/ walking/ using the bathroom in other units like they were next to me. The noise from the club and street below could almost be drowned out if the fan was on max.

Great location

Great stay. I would recommend Sonder as al alternative to hotels, especially when travel with family. The location of this Sonder is perfect and close to all of Madrid famous landmarks at the city center. Close to public transportation and right above a mini market which made eating or having some snacks at the property very convenient.

I recently stayed at Sonder Santa Ana in Madrid, and it was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. The photos on their website (which influenced my decision to book) show a new, modern, clean, property, but the reality could not have been more different. The room was outdated, poorly maintained and dirty. Upon arrival, I discovered hairs in the bathroom, and when I requested housekeeping to address the issue, the response was apathetic. Adding to the frustration, I attempted to cancel my entire three-night stay due to their blatant misrepresentation of the property, but the staff refused to refund the first night and only agreed to cancel the remaining two nights. I was left with no choice but to endure one night due to their inflexibility. To make matters worse, at night, people congregated and smoked outside the main entrance, filling the property with the smell of cigarettes that made its way into my room. The most egregious issue, however, is the blatant misrepresentation of the property. The images on their website bear no resemblance to the actual state of the rooms (see attached photos). This is not just unethical—it is outright deceptive. I strongly urge anyone considering staying at this property—or with Sonder in general—to think twice. My experience reveals a company that utilises doctored images, slick apps, and flashy marketing to mis-sell. Customers deserve not to be deceived. This was my first and last Sonder experience!

Good location and size but very loud. Club under the hotel goes to 4:30 AM and sound insulation was poor overall. Always a bad sign when they have free earplugs next to your bed.

Everything was just perfect. Would recommend it to anyone planning a stay in Madrid. We had an issue with the entry code, but received immediate attention by phone, and even revived a visit by David (assistant) who was very helpful and gave us amazing dinning recommendations near by. Perfect location, easy access, great communication. The studio was exceptional in every way except odd design flaw in the bathroom. The wash basin was partially over the WC. Otherwise. Quite superior to other stays in Madrid and Europe in general.I would definetly return.
