"Just moments from Centro and Sol, great location to metro also. A/C didn't switch on but I think they were in heat mode due to weather/winter. Very nice staff - rooms very clean, great shower"

"Avoid this place!!! The staff steal your things there, I had a bag in one of the lockers in my room which I forgot as I had to ask to change my bed to a lower one since that ladders are not accessible at all and when I got back by night I realised I had forgotten that bag with shampoo, shower soap, face soap and conditioner. It was a supermarket bag, so nothing to call attention of anyone else in who was staying the room to take it away. Even my pant which I left inside that lockers was also gone!!! My bag simply disappeared in the air apparently, as no one took any responsibility for it!! Obviously, what happened is that it was the cleaners that took away (stole) my bag. I ask again, the procedure should not be to take ‘lost property’ to reception in case the owner wants it back??! Clearly this is not the case in this hostel, as they (the cleaners) probably thought what they found in my bag was nice stuff and just decided to keep to themselves! I spoke and complained with both reception staff and management and asked for a compensation for this absurd situation and they couldn’t do anything!! The manager even told me that ‘she trusted her staff’??! Clearly this is not the case here! I will never come back if I ever happen to be in Madrid again and if you don’t want your things stolen, avoid this place!! "

"Overall, I think this hotel met our needs, but I wouldn't stay again. The location truly can't be beat, and it was in an absolutely lovely area. The staff were kind and helpful. Our room overall was fine; it was the bathroom that was a bit disappointing. One of the two sliding doors was broken, so the shower couldn't be closed all the way, and there was hair on the shower wall from a previous guest. The room met our needs, and we only stayed one night. If the bathroom had been better cleaned/maintained, I wouldn't have a single complaint! "
