We visited Istanbul with our kids and had an excellent stay. The room was cleaned perfectly every day, and the housekeeping staff were very kind and attentive. The hotel’s transfer service was safe, punctual, and very comfortable for our family. But most importantly, we want to give special thanks to Front Desk Manager Yiğit Bey. He was exceptionally professional, friendly, and always ready to help. His assistance truly made our family stay much more comfortable. Thank you to the entire team for providing such wonderful hospitality.

Dear Santefe Hotel I recently stayed at your hotel from October 21st to November 7th, and I wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, we encountered several issues during our stay. We found cockroaches in the room, and when my partner joined me on October 27th, we were unexpectedly charged again for her stay, despite having already paid for the double bed accommodation. Additionally, the shower head was not working properly, and overall, we were not satisfied with the room quality. Because of these issues, we decided to leave earlier than planned, on November 7th, instead of staying until November 16th. We kindly request compensation for the inconveniences we faced. On a positive note, I would like to mention that I was very happy with the receptionist, who provided excellent hospitality and made us feel welcome. Small room, nice staff, one outlet to charge and we never found a tv remote so the tv never turned off. It was stuck on Italian tv so I am pretty sure we might be fluent in Italian now. There was mold in the bathroom but the towels were nice. To be honest, we only spent 3 of the 7 nights there because it was so cheap we decided to store our luggage there while we went to Barcelona for 4 nights and it was better and less expensive to leave it there than pay to haul it around. The terrace was not nice, the view was good but the terrace looked like a run down storage area. The cafe right down stairs was nice and convenient but i think the hotel is also a meeting place for tours because sometimes the lobby was extremely crowded. I don’t understand why the ratings and reviews were so high because it was probably the least nice place we have ever stayed. Again, if it matters to you, the hotel staff was very helpful.

The door only locks if you remove your hotel key from the slot. This means your lights, chargers, AC - all electricity must be off if you want to sleep with a locked door. This is ridiculous. They don't even have proper manners or even a bottle of water on them.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, close to everything

I stayed at this hotel for a month and enjoyed it. The hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very kind. Once I needed help scanning and printing a document for work, and the person at the front desk was able to assist me. The front desk people go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay and give great recommendations. The hotel has a lot of restaurants, cafes, markets, and shoppes along the street and is only 10-15 minutes walking from the Grand Bazaar, closer via taxi/ Uber. The food place on the corner is 24/7, which is wonderful if you’re a night person like me. Also, easy access to the trains and ferries to get to the other parts of Istanbul. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Istanbul!

Terrifying Lift Experience – Use at Your Own Risk

My stay at this hotel included a very frightening experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. I got stuck in the tiny lift for 15–20 minutes. It barely fits one person and a suitcase, and there’s no ventilation. I wasn’t calling for help, just banging on the door, and thankfully it got stuck near reception so they could hear me. There is no backup generator, so when the electricity goes out, the lift simply stops working. I started to feel short of breath, and after I told them I couldn’t breathe properly, they eventually broke the door open to get me out. I was staying on the 5th floor and never used the lift again after that. Even during checkout, I left my suitcase in the lift and took the stairs myself because I couldn’t risk going through that again. They offer free breakfast at a nearby 2–3 star hotel, which was okay, but honestly, the fear from that experience has stayed with me. Cleanliness was average. They cleaned the room every other day with just a mop and a quick surface wipe. Rooms are very small and, in my opinion, not worth the price. If you choose to stay here, do NOT use the lift. It’s not safe.

I had a wonderful stay at Santefe Hotel in Istanbul! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The hotel has a warm and cozy atmosphere, making it feel like a true home away from home. The rooms were very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated the attention to detail in both the décor and the amenities. The location is also excellent—close to many key attractions, restaurants, and public transport, making it easy to explore the city.
