Keep on driving.

Rolled up to see the hostess Jennifer smoking outside with some customers, so she reeked of cigarettes the entire time we were checking in. Then it took a very long time standing at the desk for her to GET us checked in while she complained to us (the customers) about her boss changing her password continually. Lobby was not horrible but dated. I picked this place because it looked nice on the pictures and looked like it had a good breakfast, but we didn't get to enjoy that. Room was on the third floor. The elevator looked like something from a surgery ward in a hospital with lights so bright I could've read a book with my eyes closed. Pool didn't look bad but we didn't get to enjoy that either. When we opened the room the smell of decade old cigarette smoke hit us straight away, and was all we could smell all night, even after bombing the room with an entire can of Lysol. The room was damp from humidity no matter what we set the AC at. Everything was dingy and smelly and soggy. The bathroom sink was cracked and caulked. My wife turned back the covers and immediately found some bugs crawling on the sheet. The carpet felt greasy from humidity and dinginess. When the door was shut and locked you could clearly see the hallway lights on all four sides. Generally not an enjoyable experience in any way. The night was miserable and damp so we decided to get up in the middle of the night and move on.
