Twin Birch Resort - The Loon on the Lake - Lakefront with Dock, Kayak, and Rowboat!

The Loon on the Lake is a very cute & charming park home that is located right on Little Platte Lake! It features 2 bedrooms, 5 beds, a living area, dining area, kitchen, and 1.5 bathrooms! Also has a great deck with outdoor furniture, a picnic table, and a fun outdoor kitchen! Plus a second private picnic table with a lakeview! Has great lake views throughout and includes use of the resort's kayaks and shared bonfire ring! Also includes Wi-Fi, A/C, heat, and live streaming television!


NEIGHBORHOOD:

The property is in a quiet neighborhood of lakefront homes and resorts, with Big Platte Lake on one side of the road and Little Platte Lake on the other side of the road. Boating, kayaking, and fishing are very popular on both lakes. Peterson Beach on Lake Michigan is also only 4.6 miles from the resort!

Outside of the immediate area, the property is close to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake, Traverse City, and a lot of cute little beach towns in the area like Beulah, Frankfort, Empire, and Glen Arbor. There are all kinds of hiking trails in the area and outdoor activities of all kinds are very popular. The area truly provides for a great vacation getaway!


GUEST ACCESS:

Guests have access to all of the resort's amenities (including the kayaks), but there is no rowboat available for guests of The Loon.

It is recommended that guests have their own vehicle.


PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

(1) Includes new Deck, 2 picnic tables, BRAND NEW mattress (hybrid and memory foam), BRAND new pull out sofa and mattress, BRAND NEW Haier Refrigerator, BRAND NEW Carpet, and 2 NEW televisions!
(2) Guests are welcome to bring their own motors or rent one for use with the row boats. Crystal Lake Marina in Honor and Beulah rent boat motors. Motors should be 10 Horsepower or less and must be short shaft because Little Platte Lake is VERY shallow.
(3) Peterson Beach on Lake Michigan is only 4.6 miles from the resort!

We enjoyed our stay and it was set up well! Having direct access to the Little Platte Lake and ability to rent a boat to go fishing was an added bonus. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing Property and Area

The Twin Birch Resort was exactly what we needed to get some peace and quiet and visit the stunning parks, lakes, rivers and beaches. The management of the property were super accommodating and very helpful. RECOMMENDED!

Great little resort with fantastic setting. Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Twin Loon Resort. The setting is beautiful, quiet and serene. We stayed at The Loon, a nicely equipped and permantely set RV with a wrap around deck, but there are other cabins at the resort of you prefer being in a house. The RV was very spacious, clean and modern and equipped with everything you would need. The property owners thought of every little detail, so the RV is well equipped and cozy and exceeded our expectations. There's good mobile phone signal, wi-fi and 2 TVs with Rokus so you can stay connected. Communication with owners before-hand and upon arrival, check-in was a breeze. The setting couldn't be more ideal, with a gorgeous lake to look over, outdoor Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, a grill and front door parking. There's a dock with row boats and kayaks that we really enjoyed using for free. If you're looking for swimming in the lake, this probably isn't the ideal lake for that because there are a lot of Lilly pads and algae, but a great fishing spot and plenty to explore around the lake. Other than that, the resort is about 10 minutes away from Beulah where there are great food options and 20 minutes away from Frankfort on Lake Michigan and many other outdoor activities in the area. We'll be back soon.

RV stay exceeded our expectations - super location + view + kayaks

Great Stay for 2 nights in mid June weekend! Booked with trepidation this RV site, not having lived in RV before but tremendously enjoyed the stay with family of four in this super location at a height over the lake with a nice view out of the RV master room windows and also from one of the bunk beds. The property manager Kelly was nice too. Having kayaks just down the ramp available allowed good use of exploring the lake at all hours
