🏡 Authentic Handcrafted Cabin | 100 Private Acres Overlooking Moosehead Lake

Looking to truly unplug and reconnect with nature? Welcome to our charming hand-built cabin in the woods—an authentic Maine getaway perched on a hilltop with panoramic views of Moosehead Lake, set on 100 private acres of forest, trails, and quiet beauty.

This isn’t a modern retreat—it’s something much rarer: a cozy, old-fashioned cabin full of warmth, character, and soul. Crafted by hand and lovingly weathered by time, it offers a simple, peaceful place to slow down, breathe deep, and savor the natural world.

Inside, you’ll find:

A wood-burning stove for heat and ambiance 🔥
A well-loved kitchen with everything you need for hearty meals 🍳
Two inviting bedrooms with soft beds and lake breezes 🛏️
A full bath with a deep whirlpool tub for soaking after a day outdoors 🛁
A private deck where you can sip coffee or stargaze, surrounded by silence 🌌
🌿 Step outside to explore hand-cut trails that wind through the forest, leading you down to the shores of Moosehead Lake. In winter, head straight from the cabin onto nearby snowmobile trails for snowy adventures. In summer and fall, hike, read in a hammock, or do absolutely nothing at all.

This is a place for those who crave authenticity over polish, peace over perfection, and nature over noise. If you love the charm of an honest-to-goodness cabin in the woods, you’ll fall in love here.

📍 Please note: This is a truly rustic and older cabin, built by hand and full of imperfections that only add to its magic. It’s not modern, but it’s heartfelt—and we think that’s what makes it unforgettable.

🪵 Disclaimer: Rural Cabin Stay – Please Read 🌲
By proceeding with this reservation, you acknowledge and understand that you are renting a cabin located in the rural woods of Northern Maine. While we strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment, there are natural elements that come with the setting:
🐭 Mice Activity: Mice may be present year-round due to the surrounding wilderness, with increased activity during the cooler months (fall and winter) as they seek warmth indoors. We use natural and sterile methods to treat the cabin, but occasional sightings or signs of mice may still occur.
❄️ Ice & Snow: Icy conditions are common in colder months. We do our best to salt and shovel walkways, but some ice may remain. Please use caution when walking outside during these times.
🕸️ Spiders & Webs: In this remote wooded setting, spiders are prevalent. We clear webs before each guest’s arrival, especially around the exterior, but they often rebuild quickly due to the natural environment.
By confirming your stay, you accept and understand these conditions as part of the authentic and rustic Northern Maine experience. 🌲🏡

Northwoods atmosphere

Nice cabin in the woods. We were required to sweep the cabin when departing, however, it seemed the previous occupants had not. View was spectacular, overlooking the lake. There was an infestation of flying ants in the upstairs bedroom. We noticed it the day we left. I notiied the owner, I am assuming it will be taken care of. It would be nice if the owners would allow previous occupants to leave behind any unused condiments. That way each occupant doesn't have to buy their own spices, ketchup etc...Overall it met our needs while reconnecting with family history.
