The bad:We didn't receive a message about the address and entry code until after I contacted VRBO and complained. This process took over an hour on hold before I was transferred to a VRBO supervisor who provided the information. The property owner followed up shortly thereafter and apologized, stating the communication should have been provided automatically.There was a strong musty odor in the house. The floors, furniture and bathtub were filthy. We heard rodents in the walls and found rat feces on the kitchen counter and floor. Rodents chewed through grocery bags on the counter.There was no toaster in the kitchen. Laundry soap was not provided.We had to buy toilet paper and paper towels.The garbage container was full.The lawn was overgrown.The good:Great location, close to historic downtown. The neighborhood was ok. Felt safe but there was a lot of traffic in front of the home.Conclusion:Would have turned around and left after we walked in and stayed somewhere else if another property had been available.
