"I will never have enough words to say how pleased I am with this motel. Driftwood has such pleasant and helpful people who work hard there. Both rooms (2 different times I’ve been there) were super clean, ice cold AC and mini-fridge, nice shower stalls with great water pressure coming from the overhead faucet. It’s right across the street from a mini golf and there are a couple local restaurants down the street in either direction. For me, I’d rather save money and bring food to grill ( 2 outdoor grills - the type like at campgrounds) or make sandwiches. The pool is super clean and fun to laze around in. Plenty of loungers and other chairs. Two stairways down to the beach (where dogs are allowed!). Oh, I also love how there isn’t carpeting! There’s a lot of sand that clings and comes back into the room with you. There’s usually a couple of brooms somewhere in case you want to sweep away some of the sand out. They don’t come in and make your bed, which, I totally appreciate the privacy. Every morning you can put out your dirty towels and garbage, later, they’ll bring more towels, garbage liners & toilet paper. I cannot enunciate how clean the rooms are and as well as the pool. If you’re looking for easy access to the beach, a warm & welcoming place that’s CLEAN… this is your place!!"
