"Clean and fun vibe at this hotel. Pros: 1. Incredibly comfortable beds and great in room AC. 2. Friendly service at bar and check-in. 3. Yummy and simple free breakfast with eggs, other protein choices, fruit, and bread choices. 4. Very cool rooftop bar view and vibe. Cons: 1. Shower does not have a ledge for placing items and has zero privacy facing the toilet. 2. Oceanfront rooms: Think before paying for an ocean front room; the traffic from Moody Blvd and the blasting music from Margaritaville's speakers a few feet away from most of the balconies facing out did not provide for a relaxing experience. I am thinking that the idea is an attempt to drown out street noise, but the combo of both the traffic and blasting music is not ideal. I thought I would be able to hear the waves from a distance, and that was not the case. While the front desk did move me to a quieter room (to 202 from 208, the very loud room) they were not exactly friendly about it and responded to my first call about the blasting music by saying "We don't play music in those areas anymore." (strange) The next morning at 7am, music was no longer playing, but the activity in the park (blowers and tree cutters) added to the beeping and pounding from the repair work on the pier made for a very un-relaxing morning not spent on the balcony. All in all, I might consider a stay at a smaller, quieter boutique hotel nearby, but this is an overall fun and friendly vibe at the Flagler Compass Margaritaville."

"We enjoy The Nautilus Inn. We've been there many times. Nothing fancy, it's clean and quiet. This trip the smoke detector went off at 02:30. Called the front desk and they said to unplug it and maintenance would fix it in the morning. They never came. Staff is OK. They had rooms available but wouldn't let us check in earlier than 4:00 unless we paid another $50. Seems like if there are rooms available why not let someone check in earlier than 4:00. Anyway, I'm sure we'll go back but this last trip was a little disappointing."
