Our stay at this villa in Jamaica was nothing short of a 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations.A special shoutout goes to the incredible staff—Todd, Nigell, and Doreen—who truly made our stay unforgettable. Todd was always attentive and catered to every request with ease and professionalism. Nigell went above and beyond, not only overseeing the property but also serving us, making drinks, and even taking us out kayaking. Doreen’s warmth and care added an extra layer of comfort to our stay. Together, they created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and welcoming—we couldn’t have asked for better.The property itself is exceptional and very well maintained. The pool was clean and a great feature to enjoy throughout the day. The villa is also very secure, with Nigell ensuring smooth arrivals and departures by personally managing the gates for guests.The views were absolutely spectacular, especially during sunrise and sunset—truly some of the most beautiful moments of our trip. All the rooms matched the photos and descriptions perfectly, which made settling in effortless. While a few balcony doors didn’t function perfectly, it didn’t impact our experience at all.Overall, this was an outstanding stay, and we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-cared-for villa experience in Jamaica.

The property was clean however we had black ants invading bathrooms and bedrooms. Housekeeper managed the situation to get rid of the ants. The chef was able to meet our group’s dietary requirements with ease. Meals were delicious. The butler was also very helpful in making our stay enjoyable. We will definitely revisit. Beach however is a private beach that has to be accessed by leaving property through front gate and walking along main road to enter private beach. We didn’t expect that.

The staff was incredible. Chef Bell made us not want to eat out at all. He was very very good. The rooms were huge and the view was stunning. The butler, Negel made us feel at home and was always around to help. This villa is going to become a favorite of ours.

Great getaway

We had a wonderful time staying here. It was just the relaxation needed. Chef Bell as many of the other reviewers mentioned is amazing and the meals did not disappoint. I think that speaks volumes since I am Jamaican and would be expecting authentic meals. He delivered. Negel the butler was super attentive to all our needs and would regularly check in should we have any additional request and Jerene was in hand to do whatever was asked for housekeeping wise. It was a family vacation so my husband and children from 10-24 were there along with my sister plus husband and kids 3 and 5 years and our parents. There was something for everyone including just relaxing and enjoying the cool sea beeeze for our parents. Our kids loved the snorkeling activities and the float if you’re not big in swimming. We did not walk to the private beach because the villa had all we needed. We had a rental car so we were able to visit other attractions and although in our case it wasn’t truly necessary we invited Negel along to join us as a local. I would definitely recommend this if you’re not from Jamaica or have been away for a while. The WiFi was sometimes spotty but it worked enough for essentials. All in all we had a great time.

The best Jamaica villa

Wanted to give an excellent review for the portside Villa … the staff there was amazing. They assisted us with everything that we needed. The chef was amazing. They even assisted with decorating for my husband birthday and the cleaning Had fresh towels every day made our bed every day. Definitely will be returning if I visit Jamaica again thank you so much.

Family vacation

We had an excellent time at Portside Villa. The house is perfectly positioned on Discovery Bay, with great water access from the deck and the private beach. Our daughters are Masters Swimmers and they did a lot of open water swimming. Our kids and grandkids visited the Puerto Seca Park and loved the floating trampoline. Negel, the butler, helped us set up some time on a jet ski and so many other activities. We played pool a lot and visited the Gistening Water and the Blue Hole, which exceeded expectations and was a major hit with the 17 year olds.Chef Bell did an excellent job on Breakfast, lunch and dinners. We choose to eat at the Villa almost every night, and were rewarded with several 5 Star dinners. The house has wifi, but with a lot of devices going and TV streaming, it was sometimes slow. An idea for Kori to consider is "starlink" which allows tons of devices at excellent speed, for a reasonable price. The house has no obstructions for the satellite.For us, the house was not a place for nightclubs or big time shopping,, but we enjoyed the focus on family fun and great food and service. The house is well maintained, although in places it shows its age, but at this price point it is a real bargain.

Beautiful home, beautiful parish

We had a fabulous time at the villa, it was the perfect size for our group of 8. The staff was lovely—chef cooked incredible Jamaican meals, everyone was quick to help out and very hospitable. Every question was answered, every need addressed. It’s a very peaceful place with a stunning view of the bay, lots of interesting day trips in the parish as well—we really enjoyed learning more about Jamaican history. Highly recommend for a quick long weekend in Jamaica.

Bringing in my 40th in paradise

Our stay in Jamaica was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like royalty. The chef prepared the most delicious meals daily—each dish better than the last. The housekeeper kept everything spotless and was always friendly and accommodating.But the true standout was our incredible butler. Not only was the service impeccable, but when my phone accidentally fell into the bay, he didn’t hesitate to get into the water and retrieve it for me! Talk about going above and beyond—truly a lifesaver!The villa itself was stunning, offering the perfect mix of luxury, comfort, and breathtaking views. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be pampered and treated like family, this is it. I can’t recommend this property enough and would return in a heartbeat!

I like to be very honest with reviews, as I use them myself when booking. The property itself is beautiful and right on the water. If you plan on staying in the house and doing water activities this is a good pick. It’s about an hour or more away from many of the major attractions. The area is a bit nosey and you hear everything that’s happening on the road in the house. While there is AC and great AC at that in the bedrooms, there is no AC in any of the common areas so it’s a bit hot. The butler Negill was AMAZING. Kind and very accommodating. The housekeeper was there all day but could have cleaned a lot better. Dinning room tables and floors were very dirty. They do provide kayaks and jenga at the house. I thought that was nice. I will also say the room set ups are accommodating for a big family.

Family and 50th Birthday celebration

Cleveland our driver, security and tour guide for the week was waiting for us in plain site as we arrived at the Montego Bay airport. We stopped on our way to the house for a rum punch and a bit of relaxing. The house was stunning! The gate was opened and we backed right down to reveal our stunning place that would be home for the next week. The staff was waiting to great and assist us out of the van. Samantha, Nigel and of course Tony were all there with huge smiles. Their attention to details we didn’t even know we needed is what set them above any bar that may have been set. The house was immaculate and Samantha really went out of her way thinking of us and our kids (15,15,13,10) all the time. Nigel, acted as “butler”, security, running trainer, and get it done guy. He found someone to bring jet skis right to the dock at the house. He took a few of us to the local market (walking)to do some shopping for Tony. He was waiting for use everyday upon our return with AMAZING piña colada’s that were non alcoholic with a bottle of rum for the adults. The kitchen…. Ordering only local fare, Tony certainly did offer his absolute best. From curried goat, to conch civiché, to ackee and saltfish and of course his famous french toast, our mouths and bodies were nourished with love. The 50 birthday party was above and beyond. ❤️ The ability to seamlessly go from the pool to canon ball into the ocean, perfection. Snorkeling all the time right under the deck was pure magic.

Nine Adults nailed relaxation

We had a relaxing week at Portside Villa- the rental process was quite simple. The pictures you see on line were taken at a time that things were "fresh." The outside could use some repairs to the deck, electricity (small shock to foot coming up stairs), and pool concrete. Seats to kayaks dry rotted; don't hold you up. At times water lacking in property that was resolved when brought to their attention. Would recommend improvement in how chef Tony goes about planning meals for the week. Suggest a book of recipes/ingredients and pictures so guest could select choices. Stressful to keep going back to guests needing items. When shopping should be only picking up items guests will need- not one gallon of cooking oil (really? we were just there for 4 more days; asked him to put back). Food at grocery store expensive in comparison to US. Samantha was so sweet, kept place in order. Nigel most helpful in all of his duties. House could use more activities/games to play as many places closed due to slow season. The large jengo set, pool table and pool certainly were used. Hope our suggestions are taken seriously to improve guest experiences in the future.

Amazing Girls Week

All Smiles

We had an amazing time, the home was beautiful. The staff were the best, Tony the chef was amazing. Took us along to the market to shop for groceries, explained everything in detail, catered to everyone’s tastes and needs. He was amazing. Sam the housekeeper was on top of everything. We never had to ask, she just anticipated all our needs. Nigil the butler was so attentive to our every need, made the surprise proposal magical. Everything was perfect from day one. Exceptional service, exceptional food. They really make you feel welcome! The view from the home is spectacular. We will be returning soon!

Family vacay

We booked a week for a family vacation—mom, 4 adult children (30s), 3 spouses/partners and a 3-year old grandson. House was lovely and clean. Chef was excellent; butler and maid were both very good. Manager wasn’t as pleasant and never showed up at all. Beach is nearby but gated and locked so can’t go without an escort. Perfect for a lazy week in the sun. Main road is very close to the house so trucks & noise all day and night. The public beach is nearby ($20 fee) and had a very loud P A system all day Friday that was quite obnoxious. Other days it wasn’t a bother. No walking out of the house without an escort limited us to staying exclusively on premises unless you book an excursion or walk to market w/ the chef or butler.

Everything at the property was lovely! The staff was amazing, courteous, helpful and very accommodating. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us. The only small drawback was the walk to the beach - though very close, it was along a main road with lots of traffic. But it didn't detract from a wonderful stay.

Best Birthday Trip Ever

Me and my group of 9 had a wonderful experience at this property. The staff was phenomenal and made sure every need we had was met above and beyond. The food was sensational! Portside Villa - Family Vacation

The property itself and the ocean view was spectacular, however the location on the main road was very noisy due to the constant heavy traffic, which made it difficult to sleep at nights. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond what was expected of them to ensure our stay was pleasurable. They get a 5+ star rating for their phenomenal and professional service. Monique was on top of keeping the house very clean and ensured that we had everything we needed. Negell was outstanding, especially on the Kayak rides. He was up at the crack of dawn and was always available to fulfill our every requests. Chef Tony, who we affectionately called the singing chef, prepared authentic Jamaican cuisine every day. The staff beautifully decorated the Villa, and served up a sit-down, three course meal prepared by Chef Tony for a birthday celebration. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Amazing time

Property is well managed. The members went above and beyond. Enjoyed kayaking, food was great, location ideal. Activities outside some what expensive especially for larger group. Possibly booking on your own would be cheaper.

The most amazing staff!!!

This property was breathtaking and to top it off the staff was amazing!!! EVERY DAY!! Negell made our stay feel safe and relaxing! Tony prepared food that not only taste delicious but looked like something out of a magazine. I would definitely stay at this property again.

50th Birthday celebration

I booked this property for my 50th birthday and it did not disappoint! The pictures are amazing but the property itself met & exceeded our expectations. There were 8 of us (all women) who stayed at the house & there was plenty enough room for everyone. All of the rooms have balconies, except one, with gorgeous views! The pool was amazing especially at night when it changed color. We enjoyed kayaking, our own private beach, chilling on the dock & lounging on the covered patio. There was a Bluetooth speaker there for us to use whenever we wanted & we did just that! The staff at Portside Villa was so gracious & attentive they made us feel like family. Chef Tony created a special birthday dinner for me & fed us like Queens all week long. Everything we ate was top notch! Michelle made sure we had our coffee & fresh orange juice in the morning & clean rooms when we returned from our outings for the day. Her smile was a great way to start the day. And what can I say about Negell!! I wanted to bring him home with me lol. He made us feel safe & welcomed. He was super attentive & helpful, he even went out in the rain for us the morning of our departure. He made our stay the best ever! I can't forget our drivers Wayne & Cleveland, super great people too! Overall I can say I really enjoyed my birthday at Portside Villa. We've even talked about coming back next year!

Best accommodations and vacation ever!

There aren't enough positive things to say about the people and the accommodations. We had the most wonderful vacation together and the people from Portside Villa made it even better. The entire staff is attentive and engaging, welcoming and very helpful in everything from navigating travel to arranging local fun. The nearby private beach is quiet and relaxing and the pool is great for gathering around to relax. The views, cool breezes and warm sunshine are a so great to enjoy but in a house where every night you are there you feel like you are at your own home. We slept like babies, ate like kings, played like kids and relaxed like there wasn't a care in the world. Highly recommend this wonderful place for a vacation and will definitely be back again!

The villa was pictured as listed! The staff was kind and sweet! They ensured everyone was taken care of and happy at all times. Going above and beyond! The chef Junior was talented and the butler Al superb and beyond approach! Both drivers were great as well, but Wayne was top flight!! Overall we would recommend the villa and staff.
