2/10 Terrible

I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Clovis, New Mexico, for what was intended to be a week-long family-related visit. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by several issues that culminated in a highly unprofessional encounter with the manager.
The staff I interacted with initially—front desk personnel, housekeeping, and breakfast attendant—were generally kind and courteous in our communications. However, the continental breakfast was severely lacking, offering far less than a standard selection (minimal items available on most days), which was disappointing for an extended stay.
On a couple of occasions, I missed housekeeping due to fatigue from travel and being on the phone. I inquired politely about rescheduling cleaning services without complaint, simply seeking availability. These were minor inconveniences I handled calmly.
The problems escalated dramatically at checkout. Due to charging issues with my phone and impending bad weather, I called the front desk to ask about an alternative charging solution (e.g., a different cable or adapter) and to explore checking out early while returning for the remaining two nights. Instead of addressing my questions, the manager called my room and immediately became confrontational and raised her voice. She misinterpreted my prior polite inquiries as repeated complaints, refused to listen to my explanations, and demanded that I leave the property by 11 a.m. without any option to complete the stay or adjust the res.
