Great home in a great location. The kitchen has everything you needs. Great property for kids. We felt extremely safe. Areas that could use improvement - the master bedroom does not have A/C, so it gets pretty warm in there at night. (There are 3 fans, but they do not really cool down the room)

The owner was very responsive even before the stay started. The check in process was extremely easy. The owner provided some suggestions for food, activities and restaurants. The view from the master bedroom is amazing. My family enjoyed our time in their home.

Sunset Reef is the perfect place to stay! It easily accommodated 6 adults in a comfortable and spacious space. Easy access to the beach and pool. (The Snack Shack is a great plus for drinks and food). Beautiful views. Easy access to explore the island. Great Wi-Fi, if needed. Board games, puzzles, reusable shopping bags, coolers, fans, washer and dryer combo unit are available in the condo. There is a cupboard that some folks may leave coffee and filters behind for shared use. There are some shared spices available as well. Highly recommend and look forward to returning!

Great stay at Gentle Winds

The condo was the perfect setting. Beautiful grounds, especially the pool, nice beach/right on the ocean (though you can’t go in too far), great tiki bar. It was fun for all ages and a perfect location.

25th Anniversary

The property was very nice with beach access and beach chairs always available. The grounds were well maintained. The unit was great with nice amenities. Swimming and snorkeling were hampered by the wind which is apparently typical for this time of year. The neighbor put out cat food, which resulted in me greeting a mongoose on the stairway. We had a great time.

Great family stay at Gentle Winds

The location is perfect. The home was well supplied with everything needed. Everyone loved the beach, pool, and snack shack. You could not leave the property and have a great time, but the island has so much to see. Close proximity to Salt River Marina for kayaking and not far from Christiansted. Host responded quickly to minor issues. Highly recommend!

Our group of 7 stayed in the condo for a perfect Christmas vacation! Fully stocked with anything you can need. Comfortable beds. 3 porches off bedrooms that are great to relax. Would definitely stay here again!

Family Get-together

The condo was very well supplied particularly the kitchen and baths with towels. Lots of shopping bags and beach towels, the latter we didn't find till later. The air conditioning worked well in the kitchen-living room but the downstairs bedrooms were a little warm. The spiral staircase to the 3rd bedroom may be an issue for people with mobility issues. The pool area was very nice and clean. The ocean beach was nice but getting in was very rocky-need water shoes- and the surf was rough. The rope in the ocean was helpful. Older adults probably couldn't get in the ocean. You definitely need a rental car and depending on where you go, four wheel-drive and higher road clearance would be extremely helpful. The unit was definitely dated but had all the necessities and was very clean. There was plenty of hot water for showers but a grab-bar in the shower would be safer and helpful. There is a half flight of stairs into the unit but no other entrance or exit.

Gentle Winds

A wonderful vacation stay. The Gentle Winds resort was beautiful with a fantastic pool by the ocean. The unit was up to date and clean. It was equipped with anything you can think of, bath and beach towels, bags for the beach, multiple hair driers, extra fans for the bedrooms besides the ceiling fans. Kitchen was generously equipped with anything you can think you may need to prep some meals. Plenty of space for our group of seven. Dealing with Eric the property manager was easy and pleasant. Location is centrally located between Christiansted and Fredericksted. Getting anywhere we wanted to go was about a 15 minute drive. I would definitely recommend and plan to return.

Family vacation

The Gentle winds was a great location. The condo was perfect for the 5 of us, with plenty of room, and having 3 bathrooms was accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked for any cooking. Have to bring your own shampoo. The beach shack is well run with very good food and drinks. However, food is available until about 4:30 with drinks until 5:00. If you’re coming later make sure to have food options planned. The market/stores are not advanced, so if you’re used to higher quality options you might be disappointed. The boardwalk is near by and overall the restaurants have good food with reasonable prices. There are some shops on the boardwalk, but hours are limited. If you like snorkeling, there are many beaches to choose from. Just make sure to think your own snorkel, as renting can get expensive. We did a 1/2 day tour with bigbeards tour to buck island and reef snorkeling. A bit pricey, but wonderful experience. Many nice beaches. We rented jet skis at rainbow beach, which was reasonably priced. Beware, we had a group ahead of us who booked a jet ski tour but had to cancel because of travel plans. The rental place wouldn’t refund anything, and they got mad when the people tried to sell their tour. Wait until you get there to pay unless you’re positive. Some beaches had umbrellas to rent. Many don’t have umbrellas or any other amenities. Highly recommend to buy a portable beach canopy tent. They are anchored with sand on the beach.

Beautiful Condo

We loved our stay here. The condo was beautiful and well stocked with dishes and essentials. Eric was great to work with and responded to any concern right away. This is our third year at Gentle Winds and this by far was our favorite place to stay.

We had a great time in St Croix for Christmas 2023. The condo was great and had everything we needed. The property grounds overall were some of the best we’ve stayed at and I would recommend to anyone.

Exactly as represented!

Couldn't have asked for a better situation for our family getaway and first time to St. Croix. The place was spacious and well-appointed (all new appliances and finishes), and met all our needs. Loved that it was only a short "pitching wedge" distance to the pool/beach and cornhole, shuffleboard, ping pong, etc. We didn't take advantage of the separate tennis courts or basketball hoop, but we appreciated very much how the location afforded us such easy access to both C'stead and F'stead and the island's two golf courses.

Family time together

The property at J4 was beautiful . The place was very clean, and well stocked with bath towels, face clothes, sunscreen and bug spray .
