Overall we enjoyed our stay. The house was a bit more remote than we anticipated. The house could have been cleaner. We were disappointed that the pool and spa were not available for us to use. The kitchen was very well appointed.

Wonderful stay in spacious villa

This gîte was perfect for our extended family - with 11 family members from 12 to 67 years old! My first thought upon arrival was ‘this is even better than all the photographs’! The Villa is large and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable. The appliances are modern. The pool is excellent. There were plentiful things like outside umbrellas and loungers. Quality ping pong table. (I’m glad I brought my own sets of bats and balls too!) Music speakers across lounge. We had great fun with the large pool table and snooker as well. And a full size table football game in the TV room! We loved the quiet (silent!) local area and in fact one of my favourite things to do was nature watch by the lake; I saw Coypu playing and noted numerous birds, including an eagle. We brought our own fans, which was helpful as we had a hot week. The management and communications were friendly; when we thought our dog had a problem they were helpful. The gardener lived next door and was kind. Every year we go to France. We haven’t ever had a disaster but this was an excellent choice and I can recommend the stay wholeheartedly. Book with confidence!

Family holiday

We had a wonderful week in this lovely property with 12 adults , 2 teenagers and a baby .The property is very spacious and well equipped .It is in the countryside and so peaceful .We spent much of the time in the swimming pool and playing pool and table tennis Lots of great cycle rides and in easy reach of several chateaux. we would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future

Biannual vacation with the kids and grandkids

This was our first vacation abroad post pandemic and we were looking for something for our family that was off the beaten path. The location was ideal! Surrounded by corn fields and vineyards, Gîte Bonneuil is idyllic. I would recommend a stay to our family and friends. Check in and check out were very efficient

The villa exceeded our expectations

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the Loire Valley. The weather was beautiful and the villa had everything we could possibly need. We spent lots of time in and around the pool and the pool table inside got plenty of use too. We would definitely recommend this villa for a large family holiday. Perfect.

As veteran travellers in France, Bonneuil is the best equipped and maintained gite we have ever stayed in. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. There are plenty of things to occupy families in and around the gite - table tennis, boulles, pool table but we just loved the excellent swimming pool. It was hot while we were there so could have done with more sun shades (one of the two was broken) but otherwise there was more than ample equipment of all sorts inside and out. A minor problem was sorted out very quickly by Lorraine. The area is very quiet so if you want lots to do each day with an action packed holiday you will have to travel. We didn't, we wanted a quiet, relaxing time and Bonneuil gave us that in abundance. There are however many lovely chateaus, vin yards and markets to visit in the Cher and Loire valleys and if you stay off the motorway, driving is a real pleasure on quiet roads. Local supermarkets are about 15-20 minutes away by car and provided all we needed for lovely barbeque meals under the external canopy. We will return without question if we are able.

A wonderful location for a family holiday

We spent a wonderful 10-day holiday at Gite de Bonneuil earlier in the year. The property has been refurbished beautifully (probably fairly recently - everything feels very modern) and to an extremely high standard. The house is very spacious - we had 6 adults and 3 children in our party, and had masses of space. The kitchen is well kitted-out, with 2 dishwashers, a huge fridge and a huge freezer. The big dining table gave us lots of room and the open-plan layout downstairs worked well for a large party. The master bedroom is incredibly impressive and the other bedrooms are also well-appointed. Outside, the garden is pretty and the surrounding fields create a very peaceful environment. The pool is heated and large (though note you need to start heating it a few hours in advance if you want it at max temperature), with lots of loungers and pool toys. And there are facilities to eat in the sun or shade. The children's play equipment was also a big hit - with a slide and two swings. We spent a number of enjoyable days around the pool/outside area, with no need to go further afield. Both the owner and housekeeper are incredibly helpful, answering numerous questions for us and providing useful information. We found the location to be great - with a big supermarket within a 15-minute drive, plus markets, chateaux and restaurants all within reasonably close proximity. The only complaints from us were that there were a lot of flies (though there are some swatters to help keep them under control) and some kitchen items were slightly lacking (could do with more glasses and tea/coffee mugs, for example). But very minor stuff. Overall I would thoroughly recommend Gite de Bonneuil for a family/group holiday.

Nous avons passé un anniveraire de mariage de rêve avec toute notre famille. Nous avons tous apprécié nos chambres avec salle de bain, les différentes installations de loisir : billard, babyfoot, ping-pong, balançoire, terrain de boule et grande piscine sécurisée et chauffée à 28°C. Aangename en rustige locatie

Een heel mooie vakantiewoning waar alles aanwezig is om het verblijf van een grotere groep heel aangenaam te maken. Mooie ruime slaapkamers met praktische badkamers. Comfortable bedden met aangenaam en mooi beddengoed. Een voordeel aan deze woning zijn de rolluiken die overal aanwezig zijn. Hierdoor konden we de felle zon buiten houden en bleef het fris binnen. Wij hadden enorm veel last van wespen ( zoals overal dit jaar), maar na 1 telefoontje werd er alles aan gedaan om de hinder tot het minimum te herleiden. We raden deze accommodatie echt aan.
