Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak

"I rarely write reviews, but this felt necessary. I’ve been coming to Hilton Squaw Peak Resort since I was a teenager, and it has always been a special place for my family. We loved the welcoming pool and fountain, easy parking, and the beautiful atmosphere of the resort. A family member even bought a townhouse nearby because we loved it so much.
We stayed for two nights over spring break and were aware of renovations, but the online photos made it seem unchanged. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
Our room had no number on the door, we initially walked past it thinking it was a mistake. While updated, it was next to a loud machine that hummed all night. Housekeeping also entered despite our “Do Not Disturb” sign. Basic amenities were missing: no extra blankets, hair dryer, or microwave.
Parking was difficult due to construction. The main pool and fountain are gone, replaced with artificial turf and a pergola, which felt like a missed opportunity for a fun gathering space.
They advertise seven pools and a renovated River Ranch, but the property felt dominated by construction and didn’t reflect that.
For the price, this stay was very disappointing. During peak travel times, there should be better accommodations, clearer communication, or discounted rates. Many others have shared similar concerns, yet responses feel generic with no clear improvements made.
