The hotel is located on a golf course so is very large but really too difficult to get around via the shuttle bus so didn't really get an opportunity to explore other pools/eating areas.

Staff were very good. My only concern was that my son had a medical emergency due to peanut allergy (anaphylaxis) and the hotel chose to take us to a clinic with no proper emergency facility. The hotel's medical staff should be able to assess the seriousness of the medical emergency and take guests to the appropriate hospital. Also, the hotel ignored that Expedia already charged me with extra guests fee for 2 of the rooms I booked and upon check-in charged me again for the extra guests.

For the most part we enjoyed our stay. The free breakfasts were good. The many pools were very nice. The foam party was fun, even if just watching from afar. However, it just feels like too big of a resort to have to take shuttles to breakfast or lunch or to the front gate. Most of the time the wait wasn't too long. However, during busy times, like coming back from town in the evening and of course you are tired and just want to get back to your room, the wait can be very long, and it can be a mystery how they choose who gets to go on the shuttle and who has to wait longer. Getting in and out of the shuttles requires a huge step, so it was very difficult for my senior father to get in and out of them. It would be nice if they could use golf carts to take smaller groups directly to where they wanted to go. Also, our room must have been in an older building because it was showing it's age and use (the bathroom vanity was scraped up, the mattresses were incredibly hard, the shampoo dispenser kept popping open). I'm not sure if I would recommend Fairways--if you don't mind waiting for the shuttle, then maybe this is the resort for you.

Room is very out dated and staff promised to move us but didn’t get back to us. Bathroom had mold and it was very noisy in the middle of the night. You can hear people talking and knocking on the doors. Avoid this resort. You get what you pay for.
