Not really any food options except for breakfast however several places within walking distance. Bed was super comfy!!, hotel was a solid choice to either walk to jordaan or the busy streets of red light district. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is ideal; perfect for exploring Amsterdam and convenient for taking short breaks throughout the day if you need to rest or refresh. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I especially appreciated the complimentary hot and cold beverages (tea, coffee, soda, etc.) available all day in the lobby—a really nice touch. I was pleasantly surprised by the great city view from my room. Although the weather was mild during my visit, it was great to have a well-functioning AC.

Lovely place to stay.

The staff were very kind, the hotel was in a good location close to many tourist attractions. The breakfast was nice too. Everything was great except the fact that our tv didn’t work at all. It was quite late at night and we had only a one day’s stay so we didn’t mind and not complain about it.

The Highlander is in a great position it is near to the city centre, trams and central station. The canals are close but the good nightlife is a little more of a walk in either direction. We were on the Blue level on the third floor which suited our needs and there is a lift if required. The beds are soft although comfortable but the pillows are poor quality! The breakfast was adequate but the coffee was awful unfortunately. On the whole this is a good Hotel trying its best and I would recommend maybe only for 1 or 2 nights.

Great size, quiet room

Good location with a great size room. Friendly staff, good value breakfast. Bed was comfy and the room was quiet. Room hadn’t been checked properly as there was an empty deodorant can by the seating. Some issues with the in-room tablet and TV kept switching off at random times. Nice to have bottles of water in the fridge and good quality toiletries.

I was very hesitant to stay in a 3 star hotel, but this is one of the BEST hotels I’ve been to, and it’s because of their staff, they go above and beyond to make sure you have all that you need and are super accommodating. Hotel is simplistic but everything works, breakfast is good, super centric to everything and literally 10 minutes walk from the train station.
