Perfect location and American style were the basic reason why we finally chose this hotel for one night. Very easy to walk to the central station and commute between the hotel and airport by train at very low cost and quick speed. The front desk is very friendly but you have to ask for free drinking water.

The best view in all of Amsterdam, and a hot cookie as well! The guy who checked us in noted I had a birthday coming up and gave us drinks on the house.

The amenities and staff and location was good. The noise from train station was a bit annoying but not much. The worst part was the carpets. They smelled. I had seen thjs from other reviews but I thought they had fixed it by now. It’s bad really bad. The whole floor and room smelled. The air conditioner was not controlled and we couldn’t adjust it properly. Overall it was also way too busy for my taste. It’s a huge hotel and lots of traffic and seems like safety is a concern there. Wouldn’t stay again

Please take my deep apologies for having fallen short of our high cleanliness standards regarding your carpet and be assured that replacing the carpets in the guest rooms is an ongoing maintenance work, I highly regret the discomfort you had to face here. Further, I am sorry for not having met your expectations regarding the level of business you experienced. Due tot he fact that we are a 557 guest room property close to the city center and the harbor is is possible that the hotel and lobby seems crowded at peak moments. indeed. The air conditioner was great that you could adjust it they way you liked. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. But the main issue with the hotel were the lack of amenities; no mini fridge, no room service, no bottle opener in the room, no coffee maker. No USB port.Ask Insolation of the walks were not that good. The restaurant food was super limited and the hours were too short. The breakfast was not good in terms of quality. Overall I would not stay st thjs hotel, as it was also on really high ground and hard to walk to hotel every day. You are better off booking a room at the actual Hilton next door. The view of the rooms are not good and faces the parking lot so basically wastes your trip to a beach town
