Did not indicate renovations underway

Pros: Great room and breakfast
Cons: Should have indicated renovations.
Location: Plenty of the best restaurants in the area in walking distance and convenient access to wineries.
We have stayed here before. Excellent location, great room. However, their reception area and pool were undergoing major renovations. No indication from the website that his was happening. The pool was closed with access to facilities down the street, which required a long walk or a drive. The central breakfast area and reception was moved and we had to go through the disruption to get to the relocated area. This was a disappointment and we would not have booked on this trip if we had known. Also evening movie for rent was disabled.

A bit on the crazy pricey side, but fantastic!

Pros: Large enough rooms for three cousins to share, with large bathrooms, quiet, and a great location!
Location: Near the best restaurants in the valley!
Breakfasts are amazing! Staff is great. Gym, very mediocre...small and stuffy and not exactly at the hotel

In the Heart of Foodieville, USA

Pros: Location, of course, which may be the best in Yountville for those interested in the fine dining available in this "chef's city."
Cons: I was not fond of the heater, which was necessary in December. It lacked a moderate control, so it had to either be on or off.
Location: THE BEST LOCATED HOTEL IN YOUNTSVILLE if fine dining and wine tasting are on your agenda.
Tops on my Bucket List: Dinner at The French Laundry. It was everything I'd dreamed of, the ultimate dining experience, and I'd elected to stay at Vintage Inn in part because it was a block away from Thomas Keller's stellar restaurant. As preamble to French Laundry, I'd reserved a table at Thomas Keller's Bouchon, his wonderful, accessible bistro--just two blocks from Vintage Inn in the opposite direction. Other than its idyllic location, Vintage Inn is lovely, with meticulous lawns, water features, gardens, and, for lucky us, holiday decorations. The rooms are spacious, bright, full of windows, very clean, very cozy, include a fireplace. The morning buffet is a stupendous array of hot and cold dishes, superior Irish Steelcut Oatmeal, always an egg item, granolas, many kinds of fruits, the best banana bread I ever ate (perfect with that oatmeal), several juices, good coffee--and more. The reception and maintenance personnel are all pleasant, welcoming, eager to please. A winner.

We have stayed in Yountville four different times. The Vintage Inn was by far the best experience and we will definitely be staying here on our next trip! Cannot wait to come back and visit.

Excellent Stay

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: bedroom furniture was a little sparse
My husband and I spent one night here for our fifth anniversary. We received a complimentary upgrade to one of the villas and it was beautiful. We arrived at tea time and enjoyed some scones, biscotti, croissant sandwiches, tea and lemonade then we settled into our room and enjoyed some wine from the complimentary bottle in our room and a fire during a torrential downpour. We weren't there long enough, but they told us we had access to spa at the Villagio (sauna, steam room, etc.) as well as the gym in town. The location was great as well, a quick walk to Bottega where we had dinner, and practically across the street from Bouchon and an extra block and we were at Ad Hoc. The complimentary breakfast was also superb. A great omelet bar, pastries, bagels and cream cheese, granola, yogurt, and all the champagne you could stomach. Check out wasn't until noon so we had plenty of time to enjoy the deep tub with jets! Overall a great place to stay.

Return visit - the place hasn't changed

Stayed at this rather large inn [it used to be a vineyard] after almost 9 years. It has remained the same, in a good way. Not shabby and quite welcoming and glamorous. Pleasant, comepetant staff. The rooms appear to differ. Some things were better in our last visit's room-long hall to bathroom with coffee maker on counter and better view. But this time we had a lovely, large spa tub in a huge bathroom. Breakfast is included -a good buffet with scrambled eggs, pastries, sausage would prefer bacon], very good coffee. It was quite cold in Dec.-preferred weather of Sept. Free afternoon tea with wine and cheese Fridays.\nVery convinient to great restaurants-Etoile ? at Domaine Chandon, Buchon, Redd, Bistro Jeanty and French Laundry. Very good concierge got us into the latter at short notice. But that is another story!
