Edgewater Hotel

Pros: There is so much to like...friendly atmosphere, charming rooms, authentic decor, location in downtown, access to bike/walking trail and Lake Apopka.
Cons: Adding a ceiling fan in the room would be lovely.
Location: Heart of the historic district...casual/fine dining, biking/walking trail, shops, museums, easy drive to Mt. Dora and nature parks along Lake Apopka.
Are you looking for a quaint, historic hotel that provides breakfast in a B&B fashion? The Edgewater Hotel in downtown Winter Garden is just for you! From the moment you arrive until check-out, you will be treated like a VIP. The owners are on property and make you feel right at home. The rooms are tastefully decorated in "original charm". The facility is spotless and well maintained. A full breakfast is provided, served piping hot along with a multitude of teas/coffee/flavored creamers and a full assortment of snacks available throughout the day. Each guest selects their breakfast schedule and enjoys eating at a "group" table" or more private two tops. Regardless of your decision, your server will be friendly and attentive to your needs. Winter Garden's Historic Downtown is full of shops, eateries and museums. Plus, you can take a quick 10+ minute walk and be on the shores of Lake Apopka viewing Ospreys and Eagles! If biking is your thing, you will truly enjoy the 22 mile trail that travels through the heart of the historic district. Several bike shops are in town that provide rentals and/or expert service. Whether you are looking for a quiet getaway, family or friend gathering, the Edgewater Hotel and Winter Garden is the perfect place to visit! View the hotel website for greater detail.

Quaint rooms in a unique vintage style hotel

Pros: It was fun to stay in such an interesting and historical site. We all appreciated the quality of the linens as well as the towels.
Location: We loved the Axum coffee shop and the Thai restaurant downstairs.
We stayed the night following a trip to the Lakeridge Winery. The hotel was decorated with many antiques and the rooms and breakfast area were immaculate. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly. We visited Winter Garden for the first time and found it charming.

Great spot! Friendly, quaint and clean building and village.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, pleasant environment, family run business, bed & breakfast atmosphere
Overall a wonderful, clean and safe place to stay. Noise levels can be interesting at a bed and breakfast but should not be a deterrant for a quaint and beautiful place to stay. So fussy sleepers who need absolute quiet beware.
