The rooms were clean. The queen beds were small. The hotel rooms are kind of old and the carpet smells. The outside grounds were dirty, there was trash on the grounds. The landscaping was not kept nice.

"The hotel is in an excellent location for walking to just about anything in downtown San Antonio. You can park and walk to the Alamo, Riverwalk, and even the historic market square.
The hotel is dated but very clean. I will definitely return to the Menger when I am in San Antonio."
