clean, comfortable room.....decent neighborhood, within walking distance of the National Mall,....near CVS pharmacy and restaurants....breakfast each morning was not elaborate, but very tasty and clean.....the staff was very friendly and helpful, which is critical for a pleasant stay.....knowing what I know now, I would stay at this hotel again......I have no complaints to report.....

Inexpensive and clean but not without issues

Hotel is located in about a mile from the Capitol and the Nationals arena. So, withing a walking distance but not next door. A nearest metro station is also about a mile away. The hotel and the room were clean, had good amount of space, and with comfortable bedding. Unfortunately there was no hot water in the shower. As I only stayed for one night I don't know how quickly the staff addresses such issues. In my case, when I mentioned to a front desk before going to breakfast a clerk showed little interest. I brought it up again at check out, and a different clerk apologized for the inconvenience and proceeded to charge me for the parking. Oh well... The breakfast selection is pretty good but the food is bland.

My stay was for one night and everything was nice. The garage area seemed to be well protected and I felt safe leaving my vehicle there.

Great stay - the rooms are really nice and large (stayed in king room). The hotel has a large outdoor pool that looked great although it was closed for the season. The location is somewhat outside of the city and we had to either uber or take the metro to many locations, but it wasn't a problem.

The hotel was decent and it was a great price for the weekend. However, there was a smell. Maybe there was a sewer problem and it’s still lingering.

Pleasant Place

Pros: Clean, quiet, and close to the National Mall
Cons: Staff at front desk were really nice, but there was a line to see them for check-in and check-out
Location: The National Mall is 15 minutes away on foot, the Capitol Building, the Supreme Court, the Smithsonian Museums.
The room was clean, quiet, and had nice details like a well-designed bathroom and handmade art. There's a nice park across the street and the neighborhood is full of families. We walked up the street to the Mall and back several times (including at night) and never felt unsafe. By the way, the Capitol Building is within a 15-minute walk from the hotel! It's a longer walk from the Capitol Building to the Washington Monument than it is from the Capitol Building to the hotel. Really, it's worth a lot to avoid more driving on the streets of DC. The one thing we learned was to buy snacks before getting into the city. Lots of restaurants nearby, no obvious grocery/convenience stores. We'll try to stay here next time. It was a very pleasant stay.

Fine for the price.

Cons: The only real problem was that the bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable, and the pillows were so tall that one got a neck ache from using even one of

Nice hotel for a reasonable price in DC

Pros: Bed was comfortable. Lobby was bright
Cons: Hallways need to be brightened up. Front desk personnel need a session in customer service. Infromation about free shuttle to the city needs to be pub
Location: We walked to and from the Capitol. It is easily walkable. Nationals ball field is a few blocks away.
The hotel was close to the city and the National's ball field which we were looking for. It was reasonably price based upon the cost of other hotels in the same area. Valet parking was expensive. Bed was soft and linens and towels were fine. Hallways were "warn" and needed to be brightened up. Front desk personnel was very helpful when signing in but not so much in the morning. Lack of details made up miss our shuttle. We felt we were bothering him. Only food onsite was "poolside" which was really the bar since the pool was closed. However, the food was fine. Overall it provided the overnight stay we needed.
