Esta casa está totalmente equipada con todo lo necesario para pasar un buen rato y relajarse. La comunidad es un lugar maravilloso para experimentar el verdadero estilo de vida chileno, desde la tienda de comestibles local, la panadería y la escuela tendrá una idea de la vida costera chilena.
La propiedad está completamente cercada y construida en un terreno sólido a unos 70 metros sobre el nivel del mar, la casa está limpia, fresca, muy privada y relajante, tiene 2 baños, cocina con puertas corredizas de vidrio que conducen a una gran terraza y escalones a esta hermosa piscina privada, una gran barbacoa chilena para su entretenimiento al aire libre.

An off-season success!

My family (my Mom & Dad, my wife, my three daughters) just completed a short stay at Casa De Verano. It was a perfect place for us. Although it is a bit off season (mid-October) and we could not swim, we still had a great time. It allowed us to get away from the city for some peace and quiet. We used the place as a base to visit a winery, Isle Negra, and San Antonio. We also spent an entire day just exploring the coast, hiking up and down the cliffs and walking along the beach. The cooler weather of Oct made it absolutely ideal for what we used the place for as it was cool enough to explore without getting hot, but you could still sit by the pool and enjoy the sunshine without a coat. My daughter even got a bit of color in her cheeks from sitting outside by the pool. The house is clean and tidy and we met a wonderful gent who let us in and showed us the basics of the house. The owner even called after a day or two to see how we were doing. They seemed very interested in making sure we had a good time. I recommend the place and hope that my family and I will get another opportunity to stay there. Thanks!!

Muy lindas vacaciones en la Casa de Verano

La casa es como se detalla y muestra en las fotos. La casa es amplia, limpia y muy luminosa. La atención del dueño como la del encargado fue siempre muy atenta. El lugar es tranquilo y hay varias playas cercanas muy lindas para recorrer. La piscina es grande y la pudimos disfrutar. La casa cuenta con todo lo necesario para pasar unas lindas vacaciones. Seguramente volveremos y la recomendaremos. Gracias Fabian y Juanito por todo!! Saludos de Fabiola y familia.

Du camping de luxe!

Ian, l’hôte a vraiment été très hospitalier. Grand merci. Le jardin était beau et bien entretenu. L’intérieur de la maison était correct sans plus. Certains objets et accessoires étaient manquants pour rendre le séjour plus accommodant pour les voyageurs (meilleur matelas, lingerie, crochets, cintres, etc). Village calme et sympathique avec bord de mer. Apprécié.

Wonderful comfy house in a beautiful spot

We had a great time staying at this place—it was very comfy, Ian was super helpful, the garden and pool were really nice. This wa our first trip to Las Cruces and we fell in love with it—very relaxed and quiet, and we could walk everywhere. Highly recommend this place.

Peaceful Stay

We were looking for a peaceful quiet place to spend a few days, so this place was excellent for us. The host Ian was very helpful and accommodated our requests, including meeting us at 04:00 am after our red-eye flight into Chile. His neighbor Gige, if that is how you spell her name, catered some dinners for us that were very good and reasonably priced. The coast scenic viewpoint is a short walk and then you go down hills or stairs to get to the water. As for the house everything worked, the pool was clean, we had no problems. A modern super market was about 10 minute walk from the house and we never felt the need for a car. All of the people we met in this area were friendly and warm. We used Taxi Oficial to get us back and forth to the Santiago airport, they had the best prices and were right on time, like they were supposed to be. About 1 hour 15 minutes door to door to the airport.

What a great time we had enjoying vacation as a family.

We were VERY pleased with the house and location of the property. The reason we stayed was for the pool and it was very clean and we enjoyed it very much. Lots if places to eat and easy to get to the beach. The only negative (and I almost hesitate to write it) is that it said it had a coffee maker and it did not. I would 100% recommend staying at this house.

Many thanks to Ian for being the perfect host. The house was great, we really loved the outside areas, which with great weather we used to their full potential. If you are looking for a great place to stay in a typical Chilian resort, then you won't go wrong with this sweet little house.

Wonderful relaxing week at Casa de Verano.

My partner and I spent a wonderful week at Casa de Verano. After the hustle and bustle of Santiago and Valparaiso we were ready for some down time by the coast. Las Cruces was the perfect getaway, a nice sized beach town with excellent grocery store, fresh fruit & vegetable market, gorgeous coastline (we had some nice walks up and down) and some lovely restaurants if you wanted to eat out. The house was well appointed with everything we needed. We spent many hours by the pool and enjoyed using the barbecue and the patio to play cards and lounge. We slept well and felt very comfortable and loved the privacy Casa de Verano had to offer. Thanks to Annie and Ian and Juanito for making our stay so great! We highly recommend this place.

Exactly Perfect for our Family of 5 on our RTW trip

My family of 5 (three adults, two kids ages 11 and 15) stayed at Casa de Verano for two weeks in October. We are on a RTW (round-the-world) trip for 11 months, and had been on the road for 5 weeks by the time we checked in to this delightful summer cottage. We were all ready for a little down time, some privacy, and the ability to feel at home. This rental cottage certainly delivered! The pictures on the site are completely accurate. What you see is what you get. We felt safe and comfortable here. The three rooms were spacious, clean, tidy and simple with a summer cottage DIY vibe/aesthetic. We were able to spread out and unpack. We also really appreciated the wash-machine and abundant clothes lines. The kitchen is well stocked and the Malloco grocery store nearby had almost everything we needed to cook almost all of our meals at home. Across the street from Malloco was an excellent fruit-and-veggie stand. We were even able to make a few home-baked goods. The kids loved the swimming pool. Although it was a bit cold in October, they didn’t care! My husband and I walked daily throughout the town and we all enjoyed hikes down to the beach. It was too rocky, cold and turbulent to swim, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the beach, especially the glorious sunsets. The internet connection at the home was great! Our kids were able to do their online road-schooling lessons without a hitch. We were also able to post photos and updates to our blog. For our family, having a rental car was important to our visit. Las Cruces is a very simple beach town without much to do (although we hear that activity picks up during the real summer season). We drove to the Casablanca Valley several times during our stay to visit wineries and have some amazing meals. We also drove to Valparaiso (I wish we’d spent a little bit more time there). One of Pablo Neruda’s homes, Isla Negra, is also nearby. The caretaker, Juan, was helpful and kind. He checked-in on us several times during our stay. The home owners were very responsive to all our emails, even to the point of being immediately available by email the day we arrived and there was a hitch getting in touch with Juan. They were flexible with our changing plans. We strongly recommend Casa de Verano.

Super casa de verano!

What a beautiful place! It's true, we were there in winter, but with great weather. No dip in the pool, but many young people were swimming in the Pacific two minutes from home! The house was very comfortable (with heating ... important to this season). Very friendly welcome! Do not hesitate to go there, Isla Negra is right beside and merits the visit.
