The night clerk, Travis, was very helpful. The room was dirty, had small roll of t.paper available, carpet very dirty. "Hot" breakfast was a toaster to make toast. Breakfast was from 6-9. Not accessible to public transportation. would not recommend it.

Near airport but don't stay here!

Pros: It was safe and the front desk staff gave us a wake up call and called a cab for us.
Cons: Stay at another motel. Too much to fix.
Location: The Super 8 is right off the main highway to the airport and next door to a McDonald's.
This motel smelled musty, the room was dirty, there was no phone in the room, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and the sheets did not appear to be clean. We put t-shirts over the pillows. Because the room felt so dirty, we hardly slept. There is a local motel across the highway and a national chain motel across the road if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the area. We were able to take the city bus out there (#72, $1.25 plus a short walk) from Victoria- much cheaper than a cab or a shuttle, to be closer to the airport for our early flight.

My stay at the Super 8 in Saanich

First the positive. The staff were very polite and helpful. Also during my two nights there it was quiet. There is a MacDonalds right there so that is handy. The free WiFi worked fine. Nice to have a fridge, microwave, and safe in the room. However the Super 8 was very dirty. The stair carpets were stained throughout. My room had not been vacuumed and there was an empty bottle behind the table along with dropped candy. The toilet had to be flushed two and sometimes three times to flush properly. I will not stay there again and would not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Beware. It was Horrible

Had a horrible experience. Wouldn't stay there again. Would not recommend it to anyone.

We were able to check in early. I was told because I was using a debit card that they would not be able to refund my money if something went wrong. I wished I checked out the room before paying for it. The window was broken, screen was damaged. The room had mildew , mold and was not properly cleaned. There was brown stuff on the lamp shades. Pop machine was broken and the ice machine looked like it was a science experiment gone wrong. I was tempted to take my daughter and go sleep in my van. Only booked there as it fit the budget welfare gave me for a hotel for my daughter's medical appointment. When I went to check out this morning the front desk person asked how everything was. So I told him it was a nasty experience and what was wrong. He looked like he didn't care. He said that he will make sure house keeping does a better job for our next visit. NOT RETURNING THERE EVER!

staff friendly very convenient location

Pros: Close restaurants
This is a great hotel for an overnight in Victoria for an early morning flight. Good location, friendly staff McDonalds for your coffee in the morning just across the street. I would recommend it for the convenience to the airport.
