For the amount we paid and the fact this is a high-end hotel, this was the worst experience at a hotel we’ve ever had. For starters, parking for one night is $50 in a non-secured parking garage owned by the Westin. Fast forward to the next day and we came to our car to find a parking ticket for $110!
Beyond that, there was no bathroom fan, the magnifying mirror light was broken, the mattress has two huge dents in it where people have been sleeping for lonely 2 decades, the room was freezing and drafty, we booked the room for 2 people and they didn’t have enough towels or robes for 2 people.
In the morning we went down to the breakfast buffet and restaurant for breakfast. The buffet is $50 (!!!) per person. They had cereal, muesli, smoothies, oatmeal, eggs, bacon and pancakes that looked like they’d been there for ages. We chose to order off the menu instead. Traditional eggs Benny ($34) and a regular breakfast that comes with eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast ($32). One drip coffee ($7) and one chamomile tea bag ($7). When our food came it was ice cold. The meat in the Benny was slimy. The scrambled eggs were cold and looked like they’d been sitting out for a long time. We figured that because the buffet was closing in 30 mins, some of our food came from the buffet line. We sent it back. Our server, bless her heart, was very apologetic and had our meals remade. We did not get any discount or anything more than an apology. We will NEVER stay here again.
