Everything was perfect about this hotel. The check in process was super easy and the entire staff speaks English fluently. The elevators run efficiently and the rooms are clean and well designed. We fit three adults in one room with no issues. I loved that the toilet is separate from the shower as well. We didn’t use the hotel’s bistro because there was so much food nearby. It’s a very short walk to Ueno Station and Ameya Yokocho is not much further. The next time I come to Japan with my family, we will stay here.

Lovely modern hotel in good location in Ueno - near the action, but in a slightly quieter area. We picked Ueno for a 1-night stay after returning from skiing up north, as we felt being near the train to Narita Airport would be beneficial. While this hotel is near the train station, it is on the side furthest away from the Airport line, which meant for quite a long walk while dragging a ski bag. If you are travelling lighter than us though, it is worth the walk. Room was large by Tokyo standards and was well equipped (however only tea available, no coffee in the room). Excellent shower. Lovely smelling body wash. Very comfortable bed (decently firm). The welcome drink from a machine was a bit strange - it might of been nicer to be served a drink downstairs in the bar/restaurant instead, but still a comfortable seating area near the welcome drink location. Overall a brief but very pleasant stay.

I only stayed 1 night at the Nohga Hotel in Ueno and it was a very enjoyable experience. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining the available facilities at the hotel. Upon checking in I also received a welcome drink of choice and coupons for use at the restaurant. The restaurant staff was very welcoming during both dinner and breakfast and the food was delicious too. The only reason this hotel doesn't get full marks is the room, during my stay it was a cold winter morning and the window in my room was full of condensation in the morning, to the point where even the walls surrounding the window were damp. I think this will lead to potential health issues in the future if this issue is not addressed by the hotel.

The room was beautiful with comfortable beds, a nice Bistro downstairs, convenient location minutes from the train station, excellent staff, great amenities. We stayed during New Year’s and they had a complimentary Daruma making activity. Would absolutely stay here again.
