Conveniently located near subway

We found the hotel to be conveniently located next to the Oedo (E) and Fukutoshin (F) subway line and 15 minutes from the Shinjuku main station where the JR line is located.  We took the subway around metro Tokyo quite often so this helped us out quite a bit. For those coming from Haneda airport, take the Kekyu line at the airport and transfer at Shinagawa to the JR Yamanote line. From there, you can transfer at Shibuya to the Fukutoshin (F) line and exit the Higashi-Shinjuku station. Take exit B2 which will lead you right to the doorstep of the hotel (to the left of the exit). It should take you about an hour more or less to arrive. This tip will help you get directly there! Previous to booking this hotel, we read online reviews recommending to stay in Roppongi but a Japanese friend of ours recommended not to stay there, and we later read posts about clubs in Roppongi where local Japanese women drug foreigners drinks and trick them out of their money!!! Anyway, although the hotel room was small compared to US standards and should  probably be given 3 stars, the convenience of the location gave it 4 stars. We were there a total of 4 nights. Some people may consider Shinjuku to be sketchy because of Kabukicho which is considered their red light district but we never felt in danger and found that there were a lot more restaurants open 24/7 as well as an interesting nightlife experience.  I would stay there again when in Tokyo.

Great hotel!

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
A great hotel! More than convenient to transportation, friendly staff, walkable to many shopping and eating areas. The rooms were very modern and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again during the next trip to Japan!

Outstanding location and great hote

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, train station
In the area you have very few things, a couple of temples here and there but you can easily move to Shibuya or Shinjuku...if you are tired of Tokyo and want to relax take the Chuo line and head to Kamakura iit's a 50 minute trip from Shinagawa it has one of the two largest Budhas (the other is in Nara but I think this one is far better) a beautiful temple Hesa dera and easy access to the beach :D great option for a day trip. It has a great location and you can get easily form the airport by the N'EX to Shinagawa Station, there go to the west exit and you'll be in front of your hotel.

Good and convenient Tokyo hotel with convenient location

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
I was there for over a week for work and all in all my experience was good. Fairly typical room with regards to size and ammenities for Tokyo. Convenient to trains and subway and staff were good and helpful. I have had good experiences with the Sun Route chain and will stay with them again in the future.

Perfect for a lone traveler

Pros: close to train station
Cons: small room, no closet
I have stayed in this hotel during two vacations in Tokyo. Both times I stayed for a week. The room is small and you do not get any space to put clothes away, so you spend the whole time living out of the suitcase. Those are the only two negatives, in my opinion; and they are perfectly tolerable if you are a lone traveler who will spend the time away from the hotel room. The building is right around the corner from a train station, the major Shinjuku station is a 20 minute walk away. Between the hotel and the train station are tons of restaurants and bars. After a long day of seeing the sights, I would pull into Shinjuku Station, and walk to the hotel, stopping at one of these restaurants for dinner on the way. Right at the same intersection with the hotel is a McDonalds, a Tully's Coffee, a Chinese restaurant, a curry shop, and a couple other local restaurants. Just beyond those, are a couple of convenience stores (7-11 equivalent) to grab snacks, toiletries, etc. The staff were friendly, efficient, and their English was more than sufficient to deal with any issue that arose.

perfectly fine hotel

Nothing about this hotel to get excited about, but absolutely nothing wrong with it. I stayed in it 5 nights and had no complaints. The rooms are small, but it's Tokyo, so what did you expect?
