Simple, cozy, and comfortable, this cabin at the Valley Brook Cottages in Thornton makes a wonderful New Hampshire home base. It's a place to gaze at the view of the mountains, enjoy use of a seasonal shared swimming pool, and take the fall foliage drives you've always imagined.

Enter by way of a small front porch, where you can sit in the shade after a day of hiking or kayaking. The interior living space features wood-paneled walls, window air-conditioning, and free WiFi throughout. There's a small kitchenette with a few essentials - a mini-fridge, a microwave, a hot plate, and a coffee maker - as well as a gas grill outside to assist at dinnertime. Spend the evening hours roasting marshmallows around the outdoor firepit, watching movies on the cable-equipped TV, and curling up in the warmth of the indoor fireplace.

We have stayed here several times in different seasons. It is always so clean, great communication, perfect location and we love all the cabins. Highly recommend.

Small comfortable cabin
We enjoyed our stay. Check-in was a little confusing (there were two lock boxes and we arrived later in the evening) but overall everything was good. One large complaint is there was no window covering on the window on the door. We used a trash bag to cover it because you could see to the bed from the door. Otherwise everything was great, cabin is easy to find. It is small but lots of amenities available and we had a fire one night in the fire pit which we loved.

Great place to stay away from crowds
This was just what we needed - a clean and comfortable place to stay while checking out the scenery in the White Mountains area. It was close enough to some bigger towns to hit restaurants or a grocery store, but quiet and away from crowds. We really enjoyed our stay!
